They really just need to put out these demos. There used to be a time when we got a cool demo with every GPU generation and now would be the perfect time to bring that back.Thought it was interesting that Nvidia updated their "Moon Landing" tech demo which released with the GTX 900 series cards for RTX. I don't know if they'll ever release these demos, but hopefully when MS gets their DXR Win10 update fully rolled out, they'll consider it. I'd love to have this and the Star Wars and Sol demos.

That's as close as a like-for-like pic I can find.
There's a couple more though:
Just like with RTX, there is no game that uses it.So how is DLSS? Is it as good as NVIDIA has been hyping it up to be or has there been no game that uses it atm?
I'd suggest calling up some stores directly. They might let you know an ETA or how long the waitlist is etc.

Any thoughts on what RTX 2080 (non-Ti) card a person should get? I would usually wait for reviews but with impending tariffs and price fluctuations I'd prefer to get one sooner than later..

Not unexpected. To the surprise of no one it sounds like slightly better than 1080 performance:

Not unexpected.
Now I just hope the 2060 manages around or slightly better than 1070 performance.
I have a 950 in my HTPC, a 660 in my old gaming PC... which has been largely untouched for a couple of years. I feel ready to upgrade. I hope the 2060 has a reasonable price. Not unexpected.

When taking into consideration the tiny jumps from 660 to 760 to 960, if the 2060 matches or surpasses the 1070, it'll still be a pretty decent jump.I expected 2060 to be around 1080 performance, not 2070, considering 1060 matched a 980.
Depends on the quality of your PSU and your CPU. If it's a consumer (non-HEDT) CPU and a good PSU, it really should be enough. Is the "recommended" 650 W PSU really necessary for a 2080 Ti? I got 550 W, isn't that enough?

Isnt that the old ray tracing demo from the G80 days?Firse demo out

Funny thing, it doesn't work here.
Latest Windows, latest drivers, 2080 FE, the program window closes itself 2 second after launch, no warning, no error, nothing.
Well done Nvidia.
Not quite that old, but it says it requires a "GTX 200 series GPU", so almost ;)
I think you are right, my bad, I was sent the link, sorry.
Yeah, that's what fooled me, sorry. Not quite that old, but it says it requires a "GTX 200 series GPU", so almost ;)
I hate it too, a lot.No problem!
I really hate that they haven't released the demos yet. I assume MS stopping the update process required for DXR has upset their plans.
This is making me feel very old hahahaNot quite that old, but it says it requires a "GTX 200 series GPU", so almost ;)
Yeah if the price can get down to 499 the 2070 looks pretty strong.Very strong review. I'd like to see it against the 2080. It's very unusual that they have the exact same memory specs in both speed and size. The only major differences are in shader and ray tracing speeds. With many games heavy on the memory bandwidth, that makes me feel that the main benefit to the 2080 will be in ray traced games.
HardOCP also did "preview" looks at the Strix 2080 and 2080 Ti which looked at 5 of the same games as the 2070 review here.Very strong review. I'd like to see it against the 2080. My 2080ti FE shipped from Best Buy. I am still going back and forth about whether it's worth it to keep coming from a 1080ti on a UW 1440p 120hz monitor.
Tomb Raider update prob? Or BFV if its on Day 1 (unlikely)So, when will we get the first software using the new Turing hardware!?
No problem!

Sadly it doesn't work on new GPUs, always liked it.Not quite that old, but it says it requires a "GTX 200 series GPU", so almost ;)
I don't think anyone really expected it to be as fast as a 1080 Ti lol. If you want 1080 Ti levels of performance you get a 2080. The 2070 is about the same performance as a 1080 which was to be expected.
