Some of the pricing rumors are gonna leave me disappointed. Saw one say that a 2070 SUPER could be $399 which would be an insta buy for me.

The 2060 was only announced in January... as someone who bought one I was thinking I'd get at least a year out of it before a successor arrived, given the length of time from 1060 > 2060.

Barely 5 months after launch is a joke.

I am kind of regretting my RTX 2070 purchase right now. I could have waited for the Super lineup. Even if they will be expensive in my country at least I could have grabbed 2070 on the cheap. Coming from 980ti, playing games on 1440P ultra-ish settings @60 fps is great and all but the only game I used my card's RTX capabilities was Metro.

I wonder how much the regular RTX cards will drop in price by. Not sure if I'd upgrade from my RX 480 yet, but a cheaper 2070 would be nice.

It wouldn't surprise me for Nvidia to charge slightly more than what the 2080ti was charged, however, I'm of the mind that the Super series will replace the 1k+ price point, and the 2080ti will see a bit of a price decrease.

Love to see more attractive prices.

$300 for the 2060. $400 for the 2070. $600 for the 2080. Leave the 2080 ti at whatever price it goes for because people that buy that card are insane anyhow.

knowing there was no timetable other than 2020, I wonder if these would push back Ampere cards. There was that news about Nvidia going with Samsung this week, so at least we know moves are being made. I'd rather wait for those to get a second and hopefully more capable generation of RTX support, even if there does end up being a 2080ti refresh

This is way too good to be true, but I would happily be proven wrong. Hopefully it would be indicative of more aggressive pricing for 30 series, but probably not.

if Super 2080 is the 2080 Ti for $700, that would be decent, we might get 2080 Ti performance for $600 in 2020 then with Nvidia's 7nm series.
Still expensive but $1200 for the 2080 Ti was just dumb.

This is an Usman exclusive so it has a bit more weight than the usual report on every rumour wccftech standard. Saying that I haven't looked at what his past Nvidia reporting is like but is AMD leaks have been quite accurate.

Now looking at this regardless of the source it's believable to me because it's a very Nvidia move and RTX clearly hasn't been performing well for them so something like this would make sense.

Also videocardz are independently collaborating with the sources I would say this has a good chance of being close to reality.

Nvidia really screwed over their customers. Raytracing at the 2060 level is insufficient so you payed the price of a discounted 1070 for a 1060.

Even with a price drop to clear stock I think it won't go so low that it will match a 1060.

A 2070 offers functional ray tracing so the price drop not matching the 1070 won't be as bad but that still is a tough pill to swallow.

The only good card in this line up after the price drop is the 2080.


The super cards are exactly what the non-super cards should have been at launch.



I really hope Navi allowed AMD to catch up to Nvidia's super cards by not emphasizing specialized ray tracing hardware like the RTX cores.

Unless my 1070 can't run Cyberpunk 2077 or Bloodlines 2 acceptably, I plan to wait for the 30-series cards with second-generation RT cores and HDMI 2.1, built on a 7nm process rather than 16nm.

These are basically the mid/late-cycle Ti refresh that they usually do, except they had to call them something else because they shipped "Ti" cards at launch.

In for a 2080 Ti Super if the performance is good. I already have a 2080 Ti, but I'm looking to start a fresh new build anyways with the new 3rd Gen Ryzen CPUs.

I'm just now buying a new computer but I'm struggling to see why this is an issue. Yes there will be improvements and perhaps they shouldn't happen so quickly, but will this really make that much of a difference for anyone other than the most hardcore turbo nerds? RTX2070 can already run most games on ultra high settings and at super high resolutions.

Once again, I'm not completely up to speed on these things but whatever marginal gain might come from these cards doesn't seem like much to get excited about. Shitty business practices are also to be expected when the graphics card market is essentially a duopoly (not that this is acceptable, just is what it is).
