Of course I want eight, man. Are you kidding me? If I didn't have to wake up to the alarm it would be the greatest thing in the world. I hate my alarm. I slam it and then just slowly roll out of bed, and I'm like, "I could probably use another two hours," but, you know, got that schedule, dude. If I am five minutes late, I look at that chat and it's like, "Is Ninja late? Is he streaming today? Why isn't he on?"

At one point do you stop giving a shit about your follower count?

I think this guy is clearly elevated himself to a point where he doesn't need to worry about losing X number of subscribers if he goes dark for a week.

Ya know for a while I was a cynical fuck who thought "fuck this rich kid making money off videogames".. as if we don't all wish we could do the same. But I've been watching his interviews and videos.. ya know what? Good for him. He made it and I could totally understand his process of even though he makes a ton of money, he has dedicated followers who he really tries to please. So with that being said, my 33 year old ass self says fuck the haters and keep it up "ninja". You seem to be doing what you love and have millions who love watching you

Exactly, Honestly if he needs more rest than Ideally he can get it. It's not fair for streamers not to have an ability to take a vacation without losing subscribers, it's not an easy problem to fix though, I'd imagine there will eventually be a better solution but you know it's bad when some of the most popular streamers can't take a break without losing subs.

Pretty sure that's the issue. By making sure he gets every hour of play in he can while he's still big he's effectively NOT looking a gift horse in the mouth. He's maximizing his time at the top and thus maximizing profit.

Vacation and streaming don't go well together. If he took two weeks off he would lose a lot of subscribers and money. But he should at least try to get some more sleep. That shit ain't healthy.

Well, he isn't #1 on twitch anymore, Tim and Shroud just passed him by, or more accurately, Ninja is sliding down the rankings probably.

I mean..I don't care much, I don't think Ninja brings much to the table 'stream' wise, Tim's far more personable, and Shrouds just shroud and he is just his semi-boring self while fragging EVERYTHING, but he's likeable. I don't really see Ninja climbing back to the levels he was at...Fortnite isn't WHITE hot now, even kids (my kids / friends of my kids) are getting a bit tired of it.

So, the crown is gone, get some sleep.

Ninja will also never fade away, I don't mean to imply that, he'll be a top 20 streamer as long as he feels like it, and even past that, he'll have a cushy income from hardcore followers even if he falls back into the top 50 somewhere.

By what metric? He has more avg concurrent viewers, more followers on every platform, etc.

Regardless of whether it is self inflicted, it's part of the business model he's roped himself into. He's entitled to complain about the hard parts of his job, just as any rich person is allowed to have depression. Hope he can cut the hours a little bit for some sleep and relaxation.

I have far more sympathy for people who stream but aren't mega-rich yet somehow are still confident enough to stream with the opposite gender, or take time off, or play games that they want to play.

He is self employed and currently has enough celebrity cache to determine his own schedule. As much as I do not like the Kardashians, they are everywhere all the time and probably do not get 8h of sleep either, I do not recall them complaining about sleep. He made a choice just like the K's, fame for money. There are trade offs to it and he should just thank his lucky stars his trade off was pretty good. A lot of people with way more important/critical jobs will never see a fraction of what he is making now, working from home, being his own boss.

Same thing happens to many Sportplayers, performers and such.

- Ninja commented that he didn't stream with women to protect his wife from the online gaming community
- Got a lot of backlash for being sexist
- Has seemingly changed his tune with a recent decision to stream with a female streamer/fortnite player

Yep. Streaming is something that, while looking cool on the outside, seems like an absolute nightmare to make your full time occupation.
