You can be educated and still lack things like empathy, common sense and so on. I also consider these things incredibly hard to be taught/learned.

The more intelligent and educated you are, the easier it is for you to find evidence to support any arbitrary narrative you want, and the harder it is for people's opposing arguments to stump or surprise you.
