I'll admit my mind went both places. I always liked Obama and miss him as POTUS but his aggressive drone policy is part of his legacy. For better or worse. To the point I feel some personal guilt as a long time Obama supporter (and believer -- I believe the man is genuine).
I understand the complaints about thread detailing, but the sentiment here is fucking gross. The reasons I don’t like aspects of Obama’s foreign and domestic policy have nothing to do with right wing values: it’s because I feel horrible for the families of people his government droned to death and because I literally know people we deported under him. Grow up.
Probably, because I don't think that bringing their evil into the situations where they're doing good is necessary, unless you think it's somehow about them atoning for those past crimes, or about attempting to repair their image.
I would feel differently about Trump because I'd assume there were alterior motives at play, because I don't believe that man has a kind bone in his body.

We have plenty of threads to prove that this site has a lot of members who think it's OK to derail threads if they dont like the person. Mods should either make it known that it's either never acceptable or that it's always acceptable (if the person is a war criminal I mean). Otherwise we're going to end up here a lot with people pointing fingers and claiming bias (but given where we are, obviously there's going to be a bias. Understandably so).
