Okami for Switch is launching on August 9th worldwide

According to the latest issue of Famitsu Okami for Switch will be launching at August 9th in Japan.

Sorry for the misalarm.

The game seems to launch in two different skus, with one sku being 2990 yen (same price as the PS4 sku) and the other sku (special edition) being 3990 yen.

Them's the breaks when you;re dealing with carts vs optical, I guess. Making the digital version cheaper would be an easy solution to this, but I guess that would piss off retailers.

Most japanese sites report the regular version is 2900 Yen (probably D/L) and the "Yomi Sora" one is 3900 Yen (hope, that's a physical release)...

Updated the op with revised info. The game is seemingly launching with two different skus with one (plausibly Special Edition) being 1000 yen more expensive.

If there was a compelling reason to buy the Switch version, in particular, I'd be in... but there's probably not. Other than the novelty of it being on the Switch.

Portability, Touch control for brush in handheld, gyro for TV and tabletop. If that ain't your thing then yeah.

I would imagine that there is like a 0.00000000000001% chance I'll be seeing this in my local GAME store come whenever Capcom decides to release it over here.

I'd love to be proven wrong though.

will get this no matter what, one of the absolute best games of all time and it's been so long since i played the game. i hope there's an english physical edition too, and some shop here imports a few copies so i can buy it. if not i will buy the digital version.
