Yeah it did. Always freaked me out as a kid, but I loved it.
Still crazy to know this was Tim Burton's first feature film as director and the first time him and Danny Elfman worked together.
He didn't crank it in public, he was in the bathroom of a porno theater and the cops were off-duty. Florida cops are notoriously corrupt.
My favorite scene in the movie is when he is freaking out while going over the crime details in the basement.
