- Wtf, Bege made it to Dressrosa? I honestly don't know what to expect from this if anything, as all the interesting parties (Rebecca, Kyros, King Reku, Leo) are currently at the Reverie. Does Dressrosa have anything valuable I'm forgetting about?

- Aww, it's so adorable seeing all the Scabbards, including Ashura, tear up over learning Hiyor's still alive. Also adorable is learning she used to be a tomboy, I look forward to seeing more of that characterization in the eventual flashback.

- We finally learn who Hitetsu was waiting for: Oden's children. I think it's weird that he's only saying something when Momo's been around for awhile, but whatever, time and place I guess.

- Oden's swords both sound so badass.

- I've seen people be surprised that neither of the blades are supreme grade. What do y'all think about it?

- So Zoro has currently lost interest in Nidai due to Enma, while Momo is too scared to use his awesome sword. Alright then, I'm not impatient or anything... :P

- I find it interesting that Oden's swords were not only made by two different people, but that Enma continues to get way more hype in comparison. Enma's the only blade that wounded Kaido, and now we learn that only Oden was capable of wielding it. It also makes it sound all the more strange that Hiyori, a woman, received what is seemingly the more impressive blade. So what, if any, special ability does the Ame-No-Habakiri (That's a mouthful) possess?

- I can't wait to see Zoro using Enma for the first time animated

- While we've slightly flirted with the concept with cursed blades, Enma is the first sword (excluding swords that utilize DF abilities) that has an noticeable ability/side effect of its own, and I find that fascinating. I won't lie, I was still a little butthurt over Shusui being given away, but knowing that Enma has more going for it than just mere hype makes it infinitely easier to swallow. It actually ended up being an exciting power-up that admittedly is setup to be more interesting than Shusui ever was moving forward. And that's ignoring that it can also become a black blade...

- The Shogun being escorted by 10,000 men seems excessive af, but what do I know

- I know people will make jokes about how 30,000 isn't a big deal when CoC is a thing, but I highly doubt that the 30,000 enemy force is going to be all grouped up in one place lol

- Franky conveniently making ships for a maximum of 10,000 people. Yup, the Grand Fleet is definitely showing up. Granted, if they come to Wano, wouldn't they have their own ships? Hmm...

- It feels so odd seeing Gear 4 used under the context of training.

- Shinobu in full bitch eating crackers mode when it comes to Law lmao

- Like the little narrator boxes as Momo and the Scabbards trek across the wasteland, it's a nice touch.

- I did not expect Pedro to get a grave here of all places, that was a pleasant surprise. At the same time, I'm a little disappointed, I expected a good bit of dialogue and such when the Minks were informed of his death. Well, at least it further solidifies that he's actually dead.

- I feel that the mention of Shimotsuki Kouzaburo is basically spelling out to us that it is indeed Koshiro, not Zoro, who has ancestry in Wano. Guess we'll see.

- Orochi knowing about the change in ports is one thing, but knowing where Hiyori is? I'm now 105% on board with the traitor theory.

- And that's a wrap on Act 2, just like that.

Amazing transition chapter, didn't expect to write so much, I love One Piece D:

OK before we even get into shit, am I losing it or is Bege at fucking Dressrosa?!

Sooooo many interesting things happening in this chapter, but the biggest takeaways are 1. Zoro now possessing a complete set of weapons tied to Shimotsuki figures (also Enma is WILD) 2. Carrot & Law sightings making me nervous (I for sure think Law is ride or die at this point but something about Carrot's expression felt strange there especially for the first on panel sighting of her in months) 3. 4200 troops + the what 1K or so caught in the flower district + SH Fleet would be a damn near even 10K. 👀

- Shinobu in full bitch eating crackers mode when it comes to Law lmao

FACTS. lmfaoooo

I feel like Oda would have foreshadowed something. Like Usopp calling them or something. Granted the fleet showing up would be hype as all hell, but surely we would have something if they were coming.

The implication has always been that they'll come when Luffy truly needs them. That can't happen until he and the current alliance suffers a devastating defeat I imagine.

That said, don't ask me how the logistics of them all arriving to the isolated, hard-to-enter Wano would work. Or how exactly Luffy and co. escape if they do indeed get crushed at Onigashima. Or why the Grand Fleet would ever seemingly need Franky's extra ships when they'd be coming here on their own.

-----

Here are the latest predictions that have been proven right/wrong:

43. Zoro will lose a sword - TheGreatDirector CORRECT
52. Big Mom and Kaido will form a tentative peace treaty - TheGreatDirector CORRECT
60. Zoro will get a new sword - TheGreatDirector CORRECT
24. Wano will turn out to be in a different "place" than normal (might be underwater, in a mountain, inside hollow earth, etc.) - Big One WRONG
104. Momo will be the one to wield Enma against Kaido. - Imperial Bishop WRONG

Everybody please give a hand to TheGreatDirector for improving their CoO!

Carrot's expression felt strange there especially for the first on panel sighting of her in months

I mean she's already cried her eyes out back in WCI, she's now steeling herself.

OK before we even get into shit, am I losing it or is Bege at fucking Dressrosa?!

Yep!

Hmm, honestly you're right Lotus but I'm just kinda bracing myself for some form of fuckery and in that whole chapter, two of my all time favs were looking a certain kind of ways and I'm just "Oda please, not them."

The fandom after this chapter bout to be like "Friendship ended with Shusui, now Enma is my best friend" lmao

Now idk about that Law guy, he doesn't like bread, so this could may end in a betrayal after all

Also this sword actually having a drawback is the most interesting Zoro's swords have ever been. Hopefully it's actually consequential and Zoro doesn't slash people down like "whew that was hard but I can control it" and he goes back to having the least interesting powerset of all the strawhats don't @ me.

Holy shit, there's so much to unpack.
Capone will show Dressrosa a real mobster
Why Oda directed him there specifically is strange though. Lotus said it best: all the interesting players native to the island are away at the Reverie. Unless a third party shows up to the island I don't see why he's meant to be there. All the weapons Doflamingo was shipping out were destroyed.

Ah too many questions..

How did Orochi know about Hiyori and the port? Probably the same mink traitor from Zou, but Carrot has been out of the picture for a while now... Could be Inuarashi somehow?!

I thought Neko would've arrived before the raid.. Weird that they didn't even acknowledge his absence.

What's Law up to? I'm getting anxious..

The revelations about Zoro's swords were hype af. Zoro's master is probably the descendant of the famous Smith. Enma is crazy, and it's certainly a curious timing for a Zoro power up.. Wonder what is Oda planning for him this arc..
The spy we've assumed to in the alliance since Zou is definitely sniffing around again. They haven't warned Orochi that Udon was taken over however, so they're only aware of certain movements on the alliance side. Everyone is pointing fingers at Inu right now but I honestly have no idea who it could be. Neko's delay is probably for some grand reveal where a whole bunch of allies show up all at once.

I see no way that the rebels win this. A monumental ass kicking is coming their way, especially since this chapter does not show that they know that Big Mom has allied with Kaido.

Also Sanji with a new suit and Zoro with a new sword, both better get good fights Oda. I'm talking pre-timeskip strawhat fights.
It's becoming harder and harder to believe they'll win the Battle and Onigashima (that's what it'll be called, quote me on that). Even if the say, get 10,000 allies there's still the whole Big Mom crew waiting patiently outside of Wano. Hell, who knows if she decided to call in reinforcements from Whole Cake as well. Not to mention the mysterious contact Kaido got to replace Joker.

That being said, never bet against Franky.

Expect big fights involving at the very least the heavy hitters of the Straw hat crew.

Z1mQJnH.png

If you had any doubts that they won't show up and stir up shit
It's weird the way that's worded though. I feel like, looking through all the cover stories, the alliance hasn't necessarily increased in strength the way it implies.

Amazing transition chapter, didn't expect to write so much, I love One Piece D:

All the Zoro related stuff in this chapter was amazing. It's fascinating to see that Luffy and Zoro were both given haki related powerups, albeit not perfected yet. We are almost certainly going to see one of Zoro's blades blackened by the end of Wano. Which swords he will be leaving with though, is a mystery to me though.

It is extremely weird that none of the blades here are supreme grade as some assumed. We literally only know of two of them now and one hasn't even been seen yet. Where is the last Kitetsu? And who the hell are weilding these other swords if something like Enma takes someone on Zoro's level to use?

It feels very strange to see this Wano connection unfold relating to Zoro's hometown though. We know so little of it already and I don't see Oda just revealing little info like this unless there was some big payoff. Perhaps, the elders are going to join the war? We never did learn about that mysterious guy who drunk with Crocus. Perhaps he's recruiting allies?

And yeah, Law is the other huge wildcard in this. I'm extremely doubtful he'll actually betray the Strawhats given all Luffy did in order to help him get his revenge. I do think, that Law might be prepared to sacrifice himself. It sound strange, but I'm not exactly sure what else Oda would do with his character after this arc. He doesn't seem to have the desire to be Pirate King or any other dream for that matter. We'll see.

But yeah, this was an incredible and speedy chapter. Shit's about to go down.

Probably but it seems really weird to me that right after Orochi gets inside info from the possible traitor we get a random menacing Law panel :D

Law always looks menacing lmao

But ya, he shouldn't know about Hiyori's current location at all, how is he passing messages to Orochi, do they even know he escaped, etc. etc.

Makes no sense for it to be him.

I get the feeling they're going to end up with 10,000 of Orochi's men pretty soon. That plus the grand fleet should match Kaido.

Why would Orochi's men side with the Straw Hats?

I still think Whitebeard Pirates will end up coming. I don't think Oda would've wrote that subplot of Neko trying to recruit them if they were just going to refuse like that.

They weren't trying to recruit all of them, just Marco.

As for Marco coming, he literally chose not to, and that won't change unless something changes with the Weevil situation. That said, there was still a point in Neko coming due to Marco giving him a message to pass to Luffy, so even if Marco doesn't show up, it wasn't for nothing.

I feel like it's too soon for the fleet to come back. But then I'm not even sure how the rebels hope to win this without more numbers. Curious how they'll 1) get the prisoners out and 2) get them to the port in the midst of the battle.

Catviper strangely missing. Where's he gone again?

I am this close to thinking Zoro is going to lose an arm to Enma.

Why is Shinobu upset with Law again?

Yo, wtf did I just read in this crazy chapter?

Hiyori suspiciously parts ways before the fire festival? Hitetsu was holding onto Enma and Ame-No-Habakiri this whole time??!
WHAT THE FUCK!? ENMA CUT OFF A WHOLE DAMN CLIFF???
WHAT THE FUCK!? ENMA IS SUCKING THE HAKI OUT OF ZORO'S ARM???
This is another level compared to other cursed swords!
Luffy pulled out King Kong Gun and said it WASN'T ENOUGH???
Time's moving by so fast. Luffy, Tama, and Chopper have already regrouped with the others.
They got more people, but 4200 is not enough compared to 30,000 forces they're going up against.
The Amigasa Squad heads out! Ballin'!!!
RIP Yasuie and Pedro! Carrot not important enough to get more than one panel lmao.
HITETSU MADE SANDAI KITETSU!??? I KNEW IT! I CALLED IT!!!
YOOOOOOO WADO ICHIMONJI AND ENMA WERE MADE BY THE SAME BLACKSMITH IN WANO??? Kuina descendant of Wano confirmed 100%
Luffy making noticeable gains with the Ryuuou! My captain!
OROCHI KNOWS ABOUT TOKAGE PORT?!! AND LAW!! WHY YOU LOOKING SO SUSPECT?!!!!
Act 2 is a wrap. Can't wait for how wilder things are going to get.

Side note: Hiyori had to leave to play her shamisen in peace.

You don't find this whole deal with her going out of the way to not meet with anyone a little off?

Eh, not really. She already expressed that sentiment before back when she properly introduced herself to Zoro, that she thought it'd be best to not meet Momo just yet. Momo in the same chapter "Komurasaki" was introduced also said he wouldn't go looking for her until after the battle was over. I mean sure it could lead into something, but it's not inherently suspicious on its own. At best it's just a clunky excuse to setup Hiyori closing out the act lmao, but this isn't the first we're hearing of this sentiment.

Furthermore, if you're implying she's the supposed traitor, I find that even harder to buy now. Not only did she indeed gift Zoro with a brand new sword and kept her word, but more importantly, Orochi is now aware of her location unbeknownst to her. And said location isn't even in the capital, which would've admittedly made her look a little suspicious.

It's one thing for Hiyori (and Kyoshiro?) to have their own agenda, but I see no reason or benefit for her to willingly betray the alliance.

if her job is to make things harder for the alliance she's done a pretty shit job of it

Pretty much.

Catviper strangely missing. Where's he gone again?

He left Zou to go retrieve Marco, but Marco refused to come. Presumably since then he's been sailing to Wano, but we haven't seen him since 909.

Why is Shinobu upset with Law again?

Word got out about the message Kinemon made for the alliance on where to meet up, and they suspected that someone leaked the plans. She accused Law's crewmates of being the leakers. Law stormed out in anger, and they haven't met since. So honestly right now, Shinobu's just being a hater for no reason lol

The only thing that bugs me about Hiyori going off alone is that there's a 105% chance of being kidnapped now that Orochi knows she's alive. I can't deal with another damsel kidnapping subplot.

O-Kiku continues being oddly affectionate with Kin'emon. Is she in love with him?
I would ship it, but he has a wife, and their marriage was apparently strong enough to endure 20 years of separation.

I really wonder what the hell is Law doing right now, Is he with his crew again?

It's just weird how he is apparently on his own right now even after some days have passed. Overall I find the supernovas to be the most intriguing players in this arc (followed closely by the Big mom pirates), I just really want to see how they're gonna factor in the upcoming battle.

Ah shit all this new swords info on the chapter made my all hyped.
Finally a sword with some kind of "special ability", this is the first one with a different effect if we exclude devil fruit infused items.

And yeah the traitor is real.
