National Pokédex vs Galar Pokédex

So I don't have to read through a 100+ Page thread, can we maybe get an explanation of what the hell this means in the OP?
In each Pokemon game there are usually two Pokedexes, the (Region name here) Dex (in this case the Galar Dex) and the National Dex. The regional dex holds around a couple hundred Pokemon that can be found in the encounter tables throughout the game. The National Dex has every Pokemon ever in it, which includes Pokemon that aren't found at all naturally in the game.

Ever since the transition from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, there has been ways to transfer Pokemon into the newest generation/hardware/games(which means you can still literally have a Pokemon you obtained back in 2002 be usable till today) The two newest ways to transfer to new gens have been through Pokemon Bank and Pokemon Home.

In past games, even if the Pokemon you want to transfer wasn't in the regional dex, they could still be used since their info was still in the game. With Sw/Sh however, if you want to say transfer Litten from Ultra Sun/Moon into the new games, Litten would need to be in the Galar Dex in order for it to be transferable. If Litten isnt in the regional dex then you can't use it at all. This move is essentially killing 17 years of forward compatibility the Pokemon games have been known for and this is going to be the new direction going forward if they dont change it
