I feel you have no authority to claim BR has better cinematography than Dunkirk if you didn't see Dunkirk in 70mm in a true IMAX theater.

Everyone ignored Detroit because it isn't memorable in the slightest.
I disagree, but that's not the issue. I think there's still some stigma around her and Boal. A movie on that subject, in this Hollywood? Mudbound is of a similar level, yet is raking nominations. And ahead of them is Get Out, another take on the same, broader topic.

Perhaps the problem lies there: too many films saying the same from a different angle, and the big fish eats the small one. Annapurna's campaign was anemic at best.
