If DK makes it back in once OWL localizes, then a team must be a) Completely desperate and b) Get prepped to wreck their brand for it. No way OWL's fans greet him with anything more than incredibly mixed feelings with large amounts of hostility at best.

sigh, what could have been

Well, at least I sort of have EQO as a Hispanic to root for in OWL still. Now if only I didn't consider Philly to be entertainment thieves

Time to speculate:

Going with what Sideshow said about the Paris Eternal being the French version of the Outlaws, they're signing Unkoe and trying to shop for Poko to go as French as they possibly can. AKM is a maybe since he can play Sombra to a decent level whereas Soon's looked very weak on her. Grayy's been the best part of their team all year so chances are they're either planning to trade him or keep him on the bench as a backup. Hyp's been playing second fiddle all year so they should honestly be releasing him or putting him on the Academy team, unless they manage to sell/trade Greyy off. You 100% need a backup with how often Unkoe is out of commission.

tl;dr I hope Kruise is learning French

Jesus what an offseason it has been already, not even a week after the Grand Finals yet.

I bet some team is gonna take a shot with DK and they'll rightfully be trashed for it.

You know, I fully believe [he who shall not be named] has the opportunity to redeem himself as a person. However, professionally speaking, he's done and should not have another chance. I do hope he grows to be a better person in his life but there's no coming back from that in a career.

Guess who's back.....

That was not on my list of what I expected this off season but here we are.

People talking about second chances, like wtf. Fuck off for good.

There was a really good reddit comment about this I read earlier. Something along the lines of don't even give him attention, and that he shouldn't have a second chance. They also compared it to traditional sports where complete shitbags still win mvp's and stay on teams, and how e-sports shouldn't become that.

I'm all for people being able to apologize and grow as people, but this dude has to know he's done in professional overwatch right? There's no need for him to talk about growing as a player because rn that's at best a personal endeavor for him because no one will touch him with a ten foot pole.

He who shall not be named can take all the time in the world he wants trying to be a better person IRL but he should never step foot on an OWL stage again.

"Hydration, a former Gladi player, is already buzzing about the offer from another team. I don't know which team, but the salary is almost the first salary of a Sinatra player. (The Sinatra player earned $ 150,000 in the 2018 Overwatch League.)"

Fuck Hydration and Surefour were two big reasons I loved the glads. Seriously disappointed it looks like at least one of them will be gone.

Fusion seem to be making quite the change behind the scenes.

Also, question is what team made the offer to Hydration. Reign? Uprising?

Really hoping that a few members of Clockwork Vendetta get signed, half for the memes, half for the fact that Moose Engineer and Munkmutta are absolute nuts at the game.

Do people forget that Ark is fluent in English too or is he just known to be much more comfortable speaking Korean?

I will forever stand by my take that Corey on Zarya was most of the Justice's mechanical failings in GOATS. Putting Ado in on Zarya worked well almost every time until the Justice got boomed and the tankline looked far more competent without him playing.

Take that same tankline out of GOATS and they pop off, especially Sansam? Corey was a monkey's paw, to get DPS Corey you had to live through three stages of Zarya Corey

Los Angeles Gladiators is now officially a team with no coaching or general staff of any form and only five players under contract.

:) :) :) :)

Here's a clip of Sinatraa & Super from Jimmy Fallon last night. Very brief but they did a great job breaking things down for casual viewers. Might be worthy of it's own thread but idk (Not good timing with all of the hearthstone news)

'Look at all this talent we can pay the minimum wage'

I'm a bit surprised about Flower getting dropped but Pine still getting a paycheck. No diss to the Big Boss but you'd have figured it'd be the other way around so that NYXL had 2 sets of DPS for both hitscan and projectile. Not that both Libero and Flower can't pull out great hitscan play if needed but they were projectile DPS primarily. Now it's a 3-1 imbalance geared towards hitscan and Libero has no backup. Odds are they do pick up a backup DPS over the offseason, but one that costs a lot less than Flower likely does, IMO. But I have no idea what NYXL is thinking in having SBB, Pine, and Nenne on the same roster and not trading one away. After this last year SBB's looking like that one guy you never bench no matter what for team morale, while Nenne looks like the stronger backup option leaving Pine in a difficult place when it comes to potentially playing games. Pine marketing stonks can't stay high forever, so I think they'll try to trade him or try to broaden his fill-in capacities to flex support or flex DPS, both of which he's done in pro play in the past. That leaves Nenne as a Widow/Zarya specialist that can play an adequate D.Va. Maybe they're even trying to make good on Nenne's original designation, where he was listed as a tank and turn him into their offtank player while Meko leaves? That's an interesting approach to the bench where your backups can back up multiple roles. Pine on flex support + DPS, Nenne on off-tank + DPS, etc.

tl;dr Pine filling in for JJonak if he gets sick Pog
