Wait

NYXL have created the perfect way to beat them

Cancel all scrims with them so they can't bounce back from this

I haven't followed SCII in years, did the Brood War contracts ending ever improve the SCII pro scene in the end?

StarCraft BW Remastered actually revived BW in KR. ASL Season 5 just ended, and there's a big Blizzard sponsored tournament coming up soon, KSL. All the old players are still owning, Flash, Mind, Jaedong, Shuttle, Rain, Larva.

Starcraft 2 Scene in KR has shrinked, but it's still getting GSL, Super Tournaments, ect. Not that much domination by a single player. The better more competitive scene is outside Korea in the Blizzard WCS series. WCS Austin just ended, and WCS Valencia coming up soon. Even if WCS is all foreigners, the level of play is actually pretty good.

So instead of transitioning the Brood War players, they went back to Brood War Remastered?

I was big into SCII for a while so I might tune into the GSL and see how it is these days.

Siege can get fairly hype. Their casting/spectating tools are very good too, gives you a pretty good overview of the prep phases and stuff.
I love playing siege but could never get into watching it because of the lack of replay tools like owl and me seeing too many matches where the spectators miss everything. Has it gotten better since year 1?

I didn't watch in year one, but I find it very watchable now for sure. Just like OWL improved a TON since like the world cup last year. They use an overhead cam during prep that shows the action floor by floor, for instance. It can still be pretty fast and they don't always get EVERY kill just like OW but it's largely fine.

This might be a hot take, but I think Dallas will still be a top team next season. With Effect coming back with the right state of mind, they'll have a great DPS duo and Seagull can focus on the off tank role.

I don't even see them dropping Cocco or Chips. You still need subs. No one wants Taimou on Winston again.

They should also try and find a new projectile specialist to pair with Effect/Taimou.

But knowing Hastro, he'll fuck something up

It was pretty clear after seeing Jonak on Tracer in Dorado that XL went full sandbag.

I fully believe Valiant is ready to try and challenge a trying Excelsior, and that's only a good thing coming the Stage finals.

So did NYXL "throw" that game or did that excuse only work after Boston beat them?

Why does every supporter of a team that beat NYXL or even took a map off them after they already won the league claim that NYXL was full try-harding against them.

I'm not saying they should or shouldn't have, but it's obvious they intentionally weren't playing to their potential.

Except against Team A because I support Team A and we're better than NYXL.

It is indeed the hottest of takes.

Fuel wins a match -> THEY'RE A TOP TEAM. It's a never ending cycle.

Even the biggest Fuel fan here i-hate-u admits they need a lot of work and resting on their laurels because they suddenly got to the Stage 4 Play-Offs is very dangerous for them. It should be a wake up call, not a time to sit and say 'we're fineeeee really see?'

To say they'll be a top team is a stretch but they seem fit to do better than they did this Season at least since they won't have all the baggage and drama that held them back earlier on.

Ok so now that the season is over who gets kicked off of their team first

HaGoPeun, Tizi, Hooreg and WooHyal... Wait...

(Technically they're still under contract with London and getting paid, we didn't terminate the contracts just dropped them from the active roster and will pay them off and assist them in finding other teams when the season ends.)

Also you ignored my avatar bet twice, what have you got to lose Roseanne? Glads are obviously going to win.

Don't be a coward. Run Symet- I mean accept the bet.

End of the season hot take for my team:

Gladiators need a more mechanically gifted main support than BigGoose. He's becoming a bigger detriment as the team keeps moving forward.

Since we're throwing hot takes out there:

Bdosin is better than Jjonak, and Birdring is the best Hero 28 player in the game.

I'm wondering if fans here of some teams will jump ship to a newly formed team in the break between seasons. Shanghai is pretty prime for bailing off of imo.

Some fans jumped ship like mid-way through stages already fam lmao

Even if a new team propped up I'd want to back, I'm loyal so London will stay top.

Does Shanghai have any actual fans.

Or just sympathisers.

Spreadsheet is far from definitive but it has no-one with Shanghai as their 1st team, and like eight with it as their 2nd team.

I'm sure I've seen a couple of posters in these threads say they're Shanghai supporters though, maybe they're in hiding.

don't think we will hear about those until August when trading opens. You trade what you can then release what you can't. Some players might be retiring or are not expected to be traded, so those might happen soon to open up slots. Someone like Zebbosai is unlikely to come back for example.

Presuming a lot here.
Hey, they're winning games now, he's fine.
A match or two out, but still;

yeah, we get it dude, you don't like Dallas and you need to make sure that no one is ever happy that they're playing well. Thanks.
What's happens to Dallas though if dive is the de facto meta again.
they won't have Mickie on Dva anymore, so that's a start.

ITT Roseanne understands mental health and now Dallas won games 'he's [Effect] fine'.
