The only heroes atm I think need immediate buffs are: Mei, Doomfist, Torb, and Bastion.

Sombra needs her ult charge nerfed, but would definitely need to be buffed or reworked in other areas.

Symmetra needs a rework 2.0 at this point. An actual rework, not just buffing her and adding two new abilities.

As for Junkrat, I don't know what they should do about him. Do you think grenade+mine should kill a 200 HP hero? If not, maybe they should increase his projectile speed so grenades and nerf mine damage significantly to make that ability simply to maneuver around and not to deal damage. RIP-tire is bullshit now, if you wiggle it around on PC it is impossible to hit, regardless of tier. The radius is fucking huge too.

Torb and Bastion do not need buffs. They can tip into OP category very easily. They are just situational at the moment.

I've only tried Moira for a couple of matches, while she is fun to play I am not sure if she can be the only healer in the team. And she has to take some risks to even build up her heal pool so that puts her into "I need healing!" territory. Wish her damage beam reach went a bit further even if it meant reduced damage to compensate.

at my lowly skill level (like goldish 2300?) mei seems pretty powerful, but hey I'd take a buff any day. what are the big problems people have with her at the moment?

Yeah, I dont think a viable Bastion would be healthy for the game
neither would a viable junkrat and here we are

her spray is borderline useless in comparison to the rest of her kit because m2s are so good and so timely

she just needs to snare flankers much better with her spray. like this is what mei should be saying when tracer or genji wind up near her instead of just dashing away

I hate it when people bring up these excuses. There's always a way to make a hero viable without being oppressive. There is literally nothing that could make me hate this game more than current Mercy, so they should at least try.

I'm liking the current patch.

Moira was very useful last night in my games as Mercy. Didn't lose a single match. That's not saying much since it's not competitive, but I liked having her as my second support.

She definitely doesn't seem like a solo act, though. With her addition I'd say all support combos now have good credence; Symmetra pairings being on the weaker end of the spectrum.

However, Mercy or Ana are first tier with other supports coming in second tier. Though I suspect much of it will come down to preference/comfort for teams.

Being less maneuverable during a normal res is more a detriment for my team than for myself as I'm unable to heal/boost anyone at that point. But I don't see Mercy as significantly weaker because of it; not unless your Mercy has poor decision making skills.

Wasn't really interested in Moira when she was revealed, but she's starting to grow on me after trying her out for a bit.

Placed 3262 after having to solo heal 7 of the 10 games and 2 other games with another support. I don't mind playing supports, but having only 1 game out of my placements on something other than healers was quite frustrating!

Gamwplay wise, Moira is easilly their best designed post released hero

Is it just me or are rezzes way more satisfying to do now? When I get forced onto mercy I'm honestly having more fun.

My favorite supports to play in order (not ranked by power, just personal preference):

1. Zenyatta
2. Moira
3. Lucio
4. Mercy
5. Ana
6. Symmetra

I see the appeal of Ana for many, but she ranks so low because I dislike the amount of effort you have to put in with her to get equivalent value of other healers.

Oh if we're ranking healers
1. Ana
2. Zenyatta
3. Moira
4. Lucio
5. Mercy

Mercy might get bumped up depending on how this nerf shakes out. I tend to prefer the higher skillcap healers.

Only problem is the defending myself is way harder with the more fun healers so I have to fall back on the less fun ones if I'm having trouble.

3. Anna
4. Lucio
5. Symm

Have to play moira more to get a feel for her.

About twenty lootboxes later, I finally got something other than blue and white items, and its the Moira legendary I wanted and was thinking about paying for, Minister! Very pleased about that.

Love playing current Mercy, rezing feels so satisfying with the added risk. I refused to touch cheap ass dive rez Mercy the past months.

Sombra is fun, but she feels map specific. Without easily accessible health packs she is a wasted pick. I used to love Lucio as a support, but unless I am on Ilios or another KOTH map he feels like a waste. Prefer Mercy for main heals, and Zen as secondary due to his damage output/assist.

Really Sombra and Symm should be in a new hybrid category thinking about it.

Please refer all aiming inquiries to Jack Morrison. I'm too busy actually being on the gotdamn objective and trying to keep the rest of you people alive for a few seconds longer.
Amen.

To be fair, it is called the Support class, not Healer.

Maybe a new Specialist or Utility class category. But I think the current four work for now: Offense, Defense, Tank, Support.

I like Sym at the moment. But if I had it my way I would do a slight decrease in the amount of time it takes for her beam to reach full charge and reduce the cooldown on her shield. lol

In practice all the supports other than Sym are healers.

The Defense category should should be renamed to specialists. Sombra and Sym would fit perfectly then.

I only play support and I pretty much play 3 exclusively, so my list would be:

1. Zenyatta
2. Symmetra
3. Mercy (Top 3 are my mains)
4. Ana (I would play Ana a lot more if I was good with her)
5. Moira (Temporary)
6. Lucio
7. Sombra

So there's a pretty ugly conversation in the general forum about banning one-tricks right now

What are OW-Era's thoughts?

I played with a dude who only ever played Torb, would not switch, then got on mic at the end of the match to argue and claim that he was "carrying" us

just, lol

All I saw was the main example of a one-trick ban was a torb main who was getting countered hard and a teammate took torb in the second round leading them to idling in the spawn. That seems like a reasonable ban to me and I wouldn't be shocked if the newer bans have some similar back stories. I don't think you can play one hero 100% of the time without occasionally exhibiting some dickish behaviour toward other team mates.
That said if anyone has been banned just because they spend most of the comp games playing one hero that's pretty dumb.
