Will this be the map that makes 2CP good? Somehow I doubt it. 2CP has always been total butters.
how are the lines of sight? maybe they wanted to make it widow's home turf.I still genuinely don't mind 2CP and some of my favorite maps are 2cp like Hanamura.
That said, the Paris map is just so bizarrely huge. Why is it so huge.
I feel like half of my games now start out normal, and then when one team or the other sees an opportunity to win or is desparate, Bastion comes out. If the other team pockets their Bastion better, they win. The one character I wish was deleted from this game.

Not low ELO (3300-3700), and I'm well aware of how to defeat a Bastion. Getting 6 random people to work together to do it is a crapshoot. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's impossible. He's the only character in the game that requires a team strategy and teamwork to beat. If you don't have those, it's GG.
This is only true if the bastion is set up in a way that required teamwork to arrange. A solo Bastion chilling with no extra heals or shields is lunch to all variety of dps and some tanks and supports.
I terrorize Bastions, pocketed or not.
Nice Sombra pic, I'm setting that as my phone's wallpaper.👍
meanwhile we get glued on santa beard smh
Yeah but if the players at your SR on the enemy team are so clever as to work together, it suggests there's potential for your team to so the same.
I guess you could ignore post.Potential, yes. I've been on plenty of uncoordinated teams who have won. I've never been on a uncoordinated team that has won against a pocketed Bastion. It's game breaking on ladder.

It's not a game breaker at all. I've made bastions swap single-handedly.
Every single patch is a direct or indirect nerf to brigette. I wonder at what point are they gonna realize they just need to rework the character. Because it's so SO obvious they need to.
Anyway, I just got home from work and this is the first time since OW came out that I was caught unaware by a major release. So this was a nice surprise.
Paris looks beautiful. It looks like something out of a disney movie and/or bioshock infinite.
That said, it's so damn huge. Like, so ridiculously goddamn huge. There's no way it's not an archives map. And I think they're trying to address some of the problems of 2 cp by making it this fucking huge and allowing more approaches to the point. We'll see how that works out, but right now it's kind of a chore to get to the points.
HEY casual winter Zarya is one of the best skins in the game you leave her out of this
Everything is hyperbole. This Reaper buff is one of the top five dumbest things I've seen in the history of this game.
Just had a round of KOTH in QP with a good team comp where I got four gravs and we still lost because they had a Reaper and we didn't.
I recently started to learn how to play Zarya, but doing horrible, specifically my positioning & bubble-management (averaging 20% charge lol).
So I was wondering if anyone has any general/beginner tips for Zarya, so I can get better? Thsnks.

Thanks for all the tips, they're very helpful.👍Besides solid tracking, most of Zarya is understanding the battlefield. I'll tend to burn my first 2 bubbles to get some charge, but if we're playing aggro or I know the team is very aggro I'll hold them back. But getting your charge to 70+ fast is vital. Think about how often a high charge Zarya gets called out because she's so good at zoning and scaring things away, and breaking shield.
Once your charge is established, you'll wanna use your bubble if you need defensively, but usually I'll reserve that one for free charge, and keep my friendly bubble when a teammate needs saving. This is where reading things is important and there's more to that than I could get into. But prioritize healers, then your tank, then your DPS and even then I'd probably only bubble a DPS if it was a 100% life save (being pinned or Dva bomb with nobody else to save).
Beam does work, but you should learn to alt-fire and melee quickly when up close, and/or to fast squishies. A Moira might fight against your beam if your charge is low, but if you nail an alt-fire/melee she'll b be bursted enough to run.
Grav is another chapter entirely. Long story short, when attacking I usually want to engage with it unless they have a big defense orb. Dva's recent nerd just made things much easier, and Dva less prominent in general. But push in hard, bubble, wait for no Def. Matrix, and fire. If your team is expecting it and you've communicated, it's a win.
Beyond that, don't waste it when they have a def. Ult (namely Zen and Lucio), don't fire it at a Orisa/Bastion setup, don't blow it at a Dva. Matrix. Ideally you'll shield break a Rein and wait for a fresh Orisa shield.
Obvious synergies with a Hog who feeds, a Hammond while diving, Rein while pinning, most obvious exposed ults (Reaper, McCree, Pharah, long list).
Your bubble can eat some ults like pulse bombs, or McCree if you're in range when he starts. And your ult is a "wall" so you can save say, a support from a Dva bomb by getting in between in bubbling.
You can get out of Mei's ult by alt-fire jumping, even without a bubble.
Bubbles clean Ana's anti effect.
K I 'm done for now. Hope some of this Zarya-in-my-sleep rambling helps.

Btw, I was wondering do you know any Twitch streamers that main/play Zarya? Watching streamers have helped improve my game-sense (positioning, ability/ULT usage, etc.), but none of the streamers I follow play Zarya.
Thanks, added to my Twitch followers.Harbleu is an excellent Off-Tank player (Zarya and Roadhog, and his Hammond is pretty excellent). Check him out if you want.
Congrats, have you made it out of Bronze yet?
Yeah for sure. At least in the old cod days it was expected to be shits to one another and people could take as much as they could give. In overwatch your teammates are the deciding factor in whether you win or lose and by god are they the most sensitive whiny playerbase of all time. Three teammates chose dps? Time to continually jump of the map. We lose the first team fight in a 2cp attack? Time to swap off main tank and pick Torbjorn. Half of your teammates aren't talking in team chat? Time to call everyone the n-word (hard r btw) while your duo laughs and you expect me to not mute you and just be okay with it. Then people wonder why people don't join gamechat and stay in their parties.I can't with flops in this game expecting to win every single game they play. They join the group and everything is fine as long as they are winning. We lose one game, they all leave or start crying and blaming others.
I swear this is the worst community in a MP game ever.
I still see low comp (plat and under) as pick up and play, but just a tad more serious than QP.Overwatch's biggest design mistake has always been the laissez-faire aproach to teambuilding. People cannot be trusted to form a good team composition. The idea that, when losing, everyone will just hold hands and sing kumbaya and then come together to change characters and win is laughably stupid and apparently conceived by someone who has never played an online game before.
The game should have had a role queue and forced 2-2-2 team comp from the start.
I don't agree with the force 2-2-2 because even if it remedies GOATS, it's gonna enable dive 24/7 which is also going to be boring to watch.
But I do think they should test out in PTR or in arcade competitive. It might yield different unexpected results.

The only way to guarantee a forced 2-2-2 role queue is to use "Find group". Also, unlike solo-queue, you never have to worry about flexing and can play the character(s) you want. That's why I only use find group for competitive play.Institute forced 2-2-2 and role queue. Save the game. If it can still be saved, that is.
While I agree in principle, I don't agree that forcing people is the way to "save" anything. It would rather have the opposite effect.Overwatch's biggest design mistake has always been the laissez-faire aproach to teambuilding. People cannot be trusted to form a good team composition.
