If GTS has sold what's being stated here, Sony would have said.

You have to factor in heavy discounts as well.

While the same sold copy can be used by two players generation two profiles I believe that number of guys that shares the same game is really low.
And you need to remember these that brought the game but didn't touch it yet.... I know it is few but they exists.

Said that I believe it is possible to GTS be close to 4 million sales right now with physical + digital.

My extraction is more to know where the game is played (country) than overall sales... PD will update the site soon with real sales numbers.

How come jp which is under 200k sold is near the top. I can understand some people using extra profiles but not that much.

That is the 500k first profiles created... JP received the game 12 hours before US/EU so the first profiles are most JP.

That was the results with 25k profiles...

This is worth a thread but I can't make one so here are the Nintendo sales number for france from Figaro. Feel free to create a thread with those information.

Switch consoles sold in 2017: 911k (much above expectations)
In comparison, WII sold 703k in 10 months and PS4 650k also in 10 months.
459k Switch consoles sold in November-December
Should reach 1 million at the end of February, as much as the PS4 in 1 year.
507k 3DS sold in 2017
4.8 million games sold in 2017
Super mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are both > 500k. Could have been more for Odyssey but there were stock shortages.
Zelda Botw = 410k sold on Switch
Mario + Rabbids = 150k
Third party softwares represent 26% of the games (not specified if switch only or 3DS games are also included in this number) sold in france.

Yes, from what I could tell a little under the first 1.2M accounts were created before GTS released, you can usually see where the demo blip was if you switch the daily workout view of those accounts to monthly. I took a (tiny) sample across those 1.2M and found something like 42% converted into playing the release version. Ethomaz can probably get something more reliable if he's really extracting the data for every single account.

Mario + Rabbids over 100k in Germany is quite good I think. Also surprised to see BOTW WiiU continuing to move units, wonder if it can hit 1 million units this fiscal year worldwide.

Mario+Rabbids is then the first 3rd party Switch title to have the Gold Award. Fifa might have a chance too but it'll need more time. My bet is June 18.

There are a couple of GT sites already doing this, thought I think their data may be a bit outdated. I was dubious on its accuracy though, as there was some discrepancy with reported sales.

The last registered profile: https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gtsport/user/profile/5034028/overview

Increased from 5,009,849 to 5,034,028 (+24,179).

Total profiles: 4,034,027

In the data I'm extracting there is a field called STATUS. I only found 1 and 2 values and looks like 1 = Final, 2 = Beta only but I'm not sure enough... if it is true then:

Supposed final (1): 470,745
Supposed only beta (2): 728,505 (well I found a profile status 2 without Beta data)

Let's see if when I reach the 4 million profiles the 1 will be way bigger because Beta ended and newer profiles should be only 1.

PS. The profile count increased to 5,034,274 while I was writing this post... a lot of EU users.

Isnt GTS total sales in JP is around 200k and that is what you have reached with 1.7 million users information?

As ethomaz says the data contains users of the final beta/demo too, which covers just over the first 1.19M records iirc. Of all the Japanese profiles I saw in that range I only saw a couple that went on to play the full game. It would be interesting to see beta/full ratio per region actually.
