So does the current chart include digital? Also nice performance for PS4 exclusives on the EMEA chart.

So does digital data include those that don't give them out to NPD (e.g., Bethesda and Nintendo)? Would be nice of have an indication if not.

I'm a little confused, where does the Euro Week 52 charts come from ? We had those before ?

As for the UK Week 1, Games Industry said this is retail only as usual, with digital coming later.

We are expecting the first physical/digital combined chart in the coming weeks, although currently chart provider ISFE/B2Boost have not combined the data together. Therefore, you will continue to receive physical UK charts, with a digital equivalent to follow later in the week.

Regarding EMEAA chart:

"Participating companies in the GSD charts (run by B2boost on behalf of ISFE) are Activision Blizzard, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Codemasters, EA, Focus Home Interactive, Koch Media, Microsoft, Milestone, Paradox, Sega, Sony, Square Enix, Take-Two, Ubisoft and Warner Bros. Notable absentees are Bethesda, Konami and Nintendo.

Digital data includes games sold in Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kuwait Lebanon, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and UAE.

Physical data includes all games, but only those sold in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. UK will be added to the list from next year."

So this is digital for a lot EMEAA counties and physical for a very few countries.

Yeah big omission are Germany and UK for physical.

I think should be in OP going forward.

Interesting that Sega's a contributor given they don't participate in NPD's digital partners program. I wonder if that'll change?

Wow Forza is only number 40 on the chart for the Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa Market. It just shows you the bigger picture.

GTA V #5 on this chart is just a megaton. Spiderman #7 and GOW #11 are great performers for exclusive titles.

Okay, so are they then estimating physical sales for all countries missing from the list? Because otherwise I see no way for Smash Bros. being at No. 6 with only physical sales without anything from, say, the UK and Germany. And concerning Smash Bros., are they estimating digital sales for those companies that don't give them out as well?

26 (18) MINECRAFT: NINTENDO SWITCH EDITION (NINTENDO)

They're still doing it. This isn't the name of the game (It's just "MINECRAFT", the "Nintendo Switch Edition" is the pre-Bedrock version that was only digital and delisted from purchase even) and Nintendo doesn't publish it, Microsoft Studios does.

Man those EMEAA chart conditions are strange. Digital from lots of countries but missing physical from half of them. UK will be added next week though, right?

Looking forward to the UK only physical + digital chart, that should be much more useful. I hope we get given % changes for games on that chart too.

I assume despite that list including Sony and Microsoft, that indy games not published by those in the list aren't tracked? When it said Sony and Microsoft were on board previous I just assumed that meant their stores

I think with the advent of the charts including digital sales with the (main) exception of the eShop it might be prudent to post the UK eShop chart every week for what little insight that it can provide. Granted we're still in the dark as to how many games are being sold exactly (though that's the case here as well) and that the eShop chart displays for a 2 week basis but it's better than nothing that we have here and it is ultimately more relevant to the thread than it ever was.

I'd consider doing this but I'm too lazy most of the time lol.

Crazy that Forza Horizon 4 is 40th on the EMEEA chart, but 6th on the UK chart. Evidently the UK has a much bigger thing for FH4 than the region at large.

What point? That XBO is doing ok in the UK but awful everywhere else in Europe? That's not news and not specific to FH4.

Fair enough, but I didn't realise it was enough of a sales delta to warrant a 34 position difference for a prominent title.

It's interesting to see how MK8D climbed the rank and started to outsell Mario Party again. In France, it's only since week 52 (it's been longer for the UK)

Yeah, one step closer to a worldwide chart and shows a much more accurate picture than the UK Charts alone.

crash is on 4 platforms

Three of those platforms are a year late port that demonstrably do not carry the sales presence the PS4 version did/does for either franchise and Crash had been out on all platforms for almost five months when Spyro came out. The fact that it's beating Spyro in weekly charts only a little under two months into Spyro's lifespan is still significant. Switch and Steam aren't so strong a cheat advantage to take that significance away.
