Italy rankings for Week 51 & 52, 2020
Awful for PS5, and PS4 too. Last year they sold 40k with a price drop promotion. Switch is also a bit down from last year's weak 51.I'll wait for El Manco to write up the full post, but Vandal posted Week 51 numbers: https://vandal.elespanol.com/notici...-300000-unidades-en-espana-en-formato-fisico/
Hardware:
Nintendo Switch: 35.000 units
PS4: 4.800 units
PS5: 3.600 units (3.500 disc, 100 digital)
XBSX: 1.900 units
XBSS: 1.200 units
XB1: 300 units
Software highlights:
ACNH: 23.000/305.000 LTD
MK8DX: 15.000/600.000 LTD
FIFA 21: 17.000/300.000 LTD
Those PS5 numbers are pitiful. I know Sony said they don't have any problems, but numbers say anyone. Wonder why they won't admit it? There has to be some marketing thing around it.I'll wait for El Manco to write up the full post, but Vandal posted Week 51 numbers: https://vandal.elespanol.com/notici...-300000-unidades-en-espana-en-formato-fisico/

There's still a chance that PS5 exceeds PS4 shipments, but I'm skeptical that will happen. As more data comes out, the Bloomberg article about yields gains more credence. At least in Europe what I see is that after the big initial one PS5 shipments are nowhere close to breaking records or even matching PS4.
We'll see soon how December NPD went for PS5, but even then Japan gets comically low stock comparing to some smaller countries and it's clearly Sony's decision not to give big importance at that country at the moment.
No problem, when I asked Rubén and Vandal direction about sharing their numbers here, they just asked us to mention that the source of the numbers/rankings is Vandal.net, and to include a link to the article.Spain week 51 Hardware:

Animal Crossing is the best selling game at retail in France.
First time in 12 years that it is not a GTA/COD/FIFA game on top.
1m+ is indeed a lock.So probably over a million units?
Fifa 20 was at 1.19m in 2019 and Fifa 19 at 1.35m in 2018

Castolo - Ordaz or when the nostalgia kicks inMan, if Konami can bring back the nostalgia of Pro 5, 6 in the next game and include a Switch version, they could make a perfect storm this year.
Castolo will rule again.

I remember during peak PES days (must have been PES 6) everyone who said they were playing FIFA was laughed at. Nowadays PES is almost non-existent. :(Crazy how PES post PS2 just year on year has gone into irrelevance.
I rememeber when Fifa was just not the game people played. It was regarded as nothing short of a joke.
So, using market share percentages and numbers of download sales (24.5m), boxed sales (18.2m).
PS4 download sales: 10 million units (CP2077, Doom Eternal, Fall Guys, etc. are not included)
PC+Switch+PS5+Xbox Series download sales = 8.1 million units (games above are not included, same for Nintendo games and Ubisoft titles in PC)
PS4 retail sales: 6.8 million units (all publishers)
Xbox One download sales: 6.4 million units (CP2077 and Doom Eternal are not included. So, most probably total sales are above PS4 retail sales)
Switch retail sales: 6.4 million units (all publishers)
PS5+Xbox+PC+3DS retail sales: 5 million units (all publishers)
PS4 digital sales ratio was over 60% in UK during 2020. The data GSD shared has 10m download VS. 6.8m retail, but some big games are missing in the download sales number.

I understood that when Rubén was sharing info about PS5 and XBS launch sales (both HW and SW) he added numbers from weeks 46 and 47.It should be noted that unless XBS sold 0, Week 2 is missing from this LTD. Week 2 was when PS5 launched and only PS5 and Switch were shared from what I saw.
I know Sony doesn't want to accept a production problem, but the numbers are clear. If it's not a production problem, is it a transportation problem or going to the extreme a demand problem? I know the it is not the latter, but somewhere there's a problem.
Yeah, and when yesterdays Jim Ryan didn't say anything other than what was known, they haven't said any software updates as well.We are going to know what is going on in 3 weeks time, but what ever it is, does not look good. Either they lied to their investors or they have a huge restock happening in Jan.

Imagine if EA actually put more effort into their Switch ports, that FIFA 21 PS4 could have been Switch as well.
Probably, it is the first PS5 game in the Italian Top 10 since week 47 (PS5 launch)I guess PS5 got some stock in Italy with COD sneaking to the top 10.
Switcherland
Also, they only account for physical units on the switch vs the physical + digital of other platforms

Really? Missed that. Thanks for the info. The Chart he initially quoted is physical only on the minecraft front
Damn. What does the 'wo' column on the end mean?
Probably from German, Woche = week.
It's the total number of weeks that title has spent in the top 10.
