Any idea how are the French sales compared to the UK? Can that country pull the same numbers or it’s lower?

  14. Good hold for Kratos. Hope this encourages more publishers to invest in single player games. Do we have any idea of the drop from week one, which as I recall was in the region of 90k sales?

Edit, okay I see people have said -35%. So that should make its week 2 sales around 62k? Which puts it slightly under Horizon's first 2 weeks, which came in at 160k I believe.

Holy shit, I didn't even notice that! Presumably the small but dedicated audience showed up to buy it on launch and now there's not many people left to buy it. Launching the same week as God of War was probably a really bad idea.

Labo did about all It could in a hostile environment for a luxury purchase.

Current spending climate in the UK is not very good, the masses are tightening their belts due to economic uncertainties in the near future.

I don’t expect Labo to gain any traction here as it will be considered a luxury purchase, it could possibly be purchased as a gift or be a bargain deal during holiday seasons sales.

There isn’t a chart yet, you are looking at 21 April one probably.

  17. So I take it France likes God of War huh. Fallout 4 holding in the UK wut. I wonder how Labo is going to do in France next week.

Yeah this is my takeaway from seeing the UK market too. Even more price sensitive than it was before.

As far as the UK goes, Yakuza is still niche but with a strong cult following who will buy the game day one. A large drop was inevitable.

Amazing (but unsurprising) performance for GoW.
It's hardly a 'luxury purchase'! It's the middle of term time. When school break up for holidays, Labo will pick up. And then it will (possibly) sell gangbusters as we edge towards the Christmas season.

Seems people think the Variety Kit of Labo was a million times more enticing. There's a pretty stark difference between it and the Robot Kit.

Too early to say. It did less than Bayo 2 switch ( FW ) but it’s a new type of product into the market so we”ll have to wait some weeks maybe months to judge it.

True, same can be observed in the Japanese sales. Not at all surprised by it myself: the Variety Kit seemed to offer the most value, and in my honest opinion the Robo Kit just looked like one of the projects in the Variety Kit in the announcement trailer (albeit a better one than each single project in the variety kit) until they revealed that it was standalone and more expensive to boot. The Robo Kit just isn't nearly as good a value proposition, and sales reflect that.

Yeah that's the case in Japan too, and will surely be the same in every market we can safely say. Robot Pack is a weird one...

    Edit: beaten.

Damn Yakuza's drop is enormous. :/ It really looks like the game was bought mostly by the existing fans of the series who wanted to play it asap or show their support for a Western release (+1 here).

Why are people surprised by Yakuza's drop ? 0 and Kiwami fell out of the individual charts completely in their second weeks.

It debuted at no 14 on the eShop charts IIRC when I last checked yesterday. So yes, it sold some copies. That is an eloquent way of putting it.
