BB review embargo was one day before launch IIRC and it has 92 on MC ( too low by the way).
Good catch, but I can't think of an example where a Sony exclusive got an embargo a week ahead and reviewed really badly for example. So maybe it doesn't always work, but the few examples we have of mediocre reception to a Sony published game in recent times definetly show a few trends.
Also for QD games in particular Sony or QD have been following a marketing template they established way back with Heavy Rain. It has been the exact same for all 3 games so far which is kinda funny. It goes like this:
-Have a tech demo preceding the game (Casting, Kara, The Dark Sorcerer ; 3/3)
-Show off a single scene of the game a lot that functions as a vertical slice (HR: Taxidermist, Beyond: Hunted chapter, Detroit: The Hostage chapter ; 3/3)
-Let journalists play the first 2 hours of the game 1-2 months before release and have previews (this happened 3/3 times so far in the exact same way ; always the first 2 hours of the game too)
-Release the vertical slice chapter as a playable demo shortly before release (also pretty much 3/3 ; just for Heavy Rain the Taxidermist didn't end up being a part of the game so they chose the E3 demo instead)
-???Set embargo date depending on the perceived quality of the game??? (we will know if this holds true for Detroit; 2/3 so far)
