10k seems decent? Do we know what the WiiU counterpart sold?

God of War is on FIRE across the globe.

Seems like Sony will be swimming in money with this one.

God Of Legs
For the fourth consecutive week in a row, God of War is No.1 (despite a 30% dip in sales week-on-week).

It means that the game has surpassed The Last of Us: Remastered as the Sony-published PS4 game with the most consecutive No.1s. It's quite a specific feat, admittedly, and it's not exactly faced any real competition. But the game has been quite a sizeable hit for Sony, and it's comfortably the second biggest new game released this year behind Far Cry 5.

All of this is for physical game sales only.

What's worth calling out is the No.2 game of the week: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. It's the second week in a row it holds this position after suffering a slight 32% drop in sales - that's a good result for a game in its second week, and especially for a port of a title first released back in February 2014 on Wii U.

Tropical Freeze has already sold more copies than both Nintendo Labo products combined. Nintendo will be hoping Labo can find itself an audience over time, but it's not started too well. The Variety Pack has dropped to No.27 in the charts, with the Robot pack completely absent from the Top 40 (it's at No.14 in the Switch-only charts).

1 God of War
2 Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
3 Far Cry 5
4 FIFA 18
5 Fallout 4
6 Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
7 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2
8 Assassin's Creed Origins
9 Grand Theft Auto V
10 Destiny 2

DKTF showing some nice legs on the UK chart. I didn't buy the game but this just reinforces the fact that there is an audience for wii u ports on Switch.

It went from what? 13? 14?% of wii u sales to 25% of wii u versions sales in 2 weeks.

Donkey Kong with a great hold

Really shows how the Wii U really held back the potential for a lot of these games

Hopefully Worldwide sales for DKTF are delivering; game deserves to beat Return's 6 million!

I'm hoping the success of these ports makes it more likely Xenoblade X comes to the Switch (as I sold my Wii U before that came out).

Isn't it technically 50% of Wii U sales as it's 25% of all sales between Switch + Wii U?

Gamesindustry.biz said:
Despite only being on shelves for two weeks, the Switch version accounts for a quarter of all copies sold so far in the UK.
This means that WiiU sold 3x what Switch sold currently (75% for WiiU, 25% for Switch). So, Switch sold 1/3 of WiiU lifetime, or about 33%.

God of War deservedly stays on top and Donkey Kong with that fantastic hold!

The PAL charts have been evenly split between Nintendo and Sony this year, especially in the top ten.

There are ten platform exclusive games in the Top 20, which just goes to show that multi-platform isn't the only way to go.

Here's hoping Microsoft can turn this around for themselves in the coming year or two...

Last fiscal year digital full game sales for PS4 were 32% and in Q4 of last year 43%!
That's on global level,we don't know for UK specifically.

That's another stellar hold for God of War. And a great hold for DKTF as well. Finally some recognition sales wise for what was always a top quality game.

Clearly. Remember the PR? 3.1M in 3 days, and then in every region for which we got numbers, the drop was in the 30%. It's very likely well past 5M at this stage.
I bet we get 6 million PR talk at or around E3 time.

He already has them planned, but doesn't want to direct the next one.

Neil Duckmann can do GoW2, Amy Hennig GoW 3 and 4, and Cory can return to finish off the trio5ology.

204K for Legs of War without Digital.

Digital in the UK is usually 20/25% but GoW had supply problems so 1st week digital should be actually pretty high, so likely 30% digital this one.

That is a really nic drop for the week. Great legs.

All we need now is that US opening and the legs following that.

I figured 10M would have been further off but GoW seems to have other plans. Just finished it yesterday. Very well deserved success.

DK's performance is great too.

Great single player games (especially exclusives) doing well is always nice to see. A wave of downplay continues but it isn't stopping them.

Sorry everyone, but has the UK chart now have a different time?

This is the 3rd week in a row numbers comes out way early than usual. So this is the new usual time? I hope it is because it would be MUCH better for me. (it's 9:00pm where i live, before was 10:00 am lol)
