I agree, best time to get some legs was now. Ports of Wii U titles and Communion weeks, but it isn't getting word of mouth.
When it finishes the school will be harder with Mario Tennis and Crash Bandicoot. And Christmas, if Smash and Pokemon are real, it will be difficult than Labo have some legs. We'll see.

This weekend I'm going to a Communion, I'll see what games the parents are gifting.

No, only I know that it was one of the best second week drops on a Switch title. Donkey could have more legs this month.

Kinda wonder why it's having small drops. UK had a small drop, Spain has a small drop. Japan didn't but that's more due to Golden Week ending. Kinda wonder if word of mouth is helping it a lot.

It's also First Communion time (May and June if I'm not mistaken) in Spain, that should help with console sales and maybe FIFA sales as well as Nintendo first party evergreens.

The game is a masterpiece and the franchise has sold potential for big sales in the past. We have laught a lot at Funky mode, but it expands the game appeal to children, that could help. Without Funky mode the game is too difficult for children or unskilled adults.

Toy-Con kit went up 2 places as well. Did it have some retailer promotions? The articles mentions that Core Games got retailer promotions, but I doubt that includes Labo. Also, DK does well to keep 4th place when other titles had price promotions.

Wonder how HW did. 3rd place behind FIFA and GOW could mean a lot of things.

Not even the third version of Hyrule Warriors could trouble God of War in its fifth week!

Unfortunately, that run is coming to end next week, with Detroit: Become Human and Dark Souls Rmastered battling each other for the top spot.

It's nice to see the trio of Crash Bandicoot, Gran Turismo Sport and Horizon Zero Dawn climbing the charts, and the legs on Donkey Kong is still pretty good too.

We just need to know what the percentage drop both Donkey Kong and Far Cry 5 endured last week, then we should have a relatively clear idea how Hyrule Warriors opened at.

If Donkey Kong sold roughly 8,000 units last week, I reckon Hyrule Warriors is looking at about 6,400 units or below, if the percentage drop is 20% on Donkey Kong for example.

Who is "they"? I have checked the Variety Kit on several UK retailers (Game, Amazon UK, argos, 365games, shopto, zavvi) and none of them has dropped the price. A quick check on hotukdeals also didn't really tell me anything about a price drop.

There was one new game in the Top Ten this week in the form of Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch. It's the second biggest launch for the game so far. The Wii U version, released in September 2014, sold more than double the number posted here. But the 3DS edition, released in March 2016, sold slightly fewer units.

Actually it is - HW was one of the games that actually sold quite well on WiiU and was "big deal" when it launched. Switch game is the 3rd release of the game while on a healthier system - there is also more competition right now in the charts. FEW also launched not too long ago.

It will be interesting to see where it ends up once it all said and done. Solid start - should be the best selling version lifetime after this CY.
