DQXI did okay considering UK trends, it's close enough to the upper tier JRPGs and will undoubtedly do much better in France, Spain, etc. Hopefully it can also come closish to DQIX in NPD which was 132k in about a week of tracking iirc. I still think those Steamspy numbers are still disappointing though (50-100k global), SE would've probably been better off doing a day one Xbox port instead and saving Steam for a later GOTY or budget release to really maximize sales at a more appropiate price point for that platform. Even still I think this will be a million seller in the west for sure and probably close out somewhere above the current series champ (DQIX at 1.12m shipped), plus there's the later Switch version that Nintendo will no doubt push themselves.
Likewise it seems MHGU is doing a lot better outside the UK (so far France, Spain, Italy, AU). If it does close to Gen in NPD (165k), it should also probably manage platinum status in the west this year, putting global MHGU (3DS+Switch) figures around 3m. Not bad for a too late 3DS port really.
