I am among the sales for MHW (and Fighter Z) figured I should see what all this MH fuss was about, have heard people rave about it for years.
Do these charts include Amazon? I buy pretty much all my physical games from there

I think I say it every week now lol. Oh and I said 'Nearly 4x", so some of the estimations above go too high.

Thats a big split. Already expected big split from MHW, but DBZ its a surprise.

See this is why I don't see it passing a million. Unless it does 500k+ in NA then the sales are gonna be so low it won't help it.
Probably Dragon Ball FighterZ split will be bigger. Looks like Monster Hunter has got some attention of Destiny, The Division, Widlands, etc audience.
I think it will be close, but Europe will hurt.

I think it won't sell a lot more past 200k in Europe in my opinion. These UK numbers are probably the highest it will get. Continental Europe and ROTW is gonna be much more brutal in terms of splits.
Meanwhile I think MHW on PS4 will be a Million-2 Million seller in Europe.
My guess is 900k in a year for the Xbox one version.

I'm not really, I'm just pleasantly surprised, and happy, about how different things are for Nintendo compared to the Wii U years.
It's always nice to see a company I like being successful.
The only surprise here is that PS4 DBZ didn't outsell Xbox MHW. So MH certainly had a very impressive opening week. Split wise is very much as expected. But I'd be more suprised if the Xbox has any legs.
looks like Xbox having better versions hasn't gone mainstream. Those splits are insane.
Just realised Lost Sphear didn't chart. That's disappointing but SE really should have put a better budget price on that one. Oh well.

16th on the Switch chart, didn't appear on PS4. Both Rocket League and Axiom Verge saw a physical release last week, they were 8th and 9th respectively

i really don't understand posts like this.
It was a not so subtle dig at people who said that Sony was scary of XboX that why they went and got the exclusive marketing deal, so people Couldn't see the superior version.
Seems to me he's not saying it would have sold more but having the 'best version' seems to have had minimal impact so far, sales wise.
No one outside of this forum cares about that. How many units has Xbox One X even sold in the UK?
It was revealed on SOny's stage wasn't it, had an exclusive Beta on PS4, exclusive Playstation skins with all marketing being exclusive to the ps4 version. There were people on this forum saying they didnt even know an xbox version existed.

Maybe if matchmaking actually worked then it might sell better but exclusive betas are a great idea (/s).
Great idea indeed. Sony and Capcom must be very happy how the partnership turned out. Looking forward to next marketing deal between Sony and Capcom.
Also thought the split would be higher for PS4, especially with Capcom seemingly going out of their way to make sure Xbox version definitely didn't stand a chance. Still a massive split though. And that's probably the closed market WW, well maybe NA is closer now.

If the split is 80%+ in the UK that would put it at 110%+ worldwide which is not possible mathematically since there can only be a hundred percent since centum is Latin for hundred.
People actually expected that? EU is Playstation land with Nintendo with a strong presence too.
Xbox is pretty much... Well how can I say this... You know... lacking way behind in sales.

It's about the same. REVII got 1 + 2 spots on the individual chart with PS4 the best selling SKU and combined they were around 85k.
So yeah RE was ever so slightly better, if we're to interpret Zhuge's post putting MHW below 80k.

Is the vanilla xb one version better than the vanilla ps4 version?
Because most sales will be for those systems
It is not and it would not matter one bit as the Xbox One version does not currently have any matchmaking and hasn't since launch.
