Yeah 8m would still be great of course, it also depends if the Switch sells closer to 90m or 120m in the end, that could make the difference.

90M is plenty for LM3 to be able to reach 10M in theory, though. If it doesn't, it's not due to lacking the install base imo.

Although, in a related way, having only 90M as opposed to 120M could be due to the Switch not being around for more than 3 extra years (2020, 2021, 2022) before Switch 2 releases. In that case, evergreens will be terminated prematurately since the system's time as the main system has ended.

Physical launch sales of Luigi's Mansion 3 are actually 140% higher than its predecessor (released way back in March 2013), and that doesn't include digital sales (Nintendo does not share digital figures and digital is not included in this chart).

Luigi's Mansion 3 was the best-selling new game this week, but it had to settle for No.2 because Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remains at the top by quite a large margin. It's actually an impressive second week for the shooter, with sales down just 49% from its launch week.

Another game showing legs (excuse the pun) is Ring Fit Adventure. The Nintendo Switch fitness game was also released three weeks ago, and it sold more in its second week than its first. This week sales have only dipped 21% and it remains at No.7.

It's done better than LA in japan and UK that we know of. However, benji has been insisting that despite this, launch sales in the US are noticeably below LA, and the US is where a large amount of these games' numbers will come from.

LM3 should still easily outsell it in the end as it's a game more inclined to have great legs, but I wouldn't be surprised if the initial worldwide launch was pretty even.

I wonder if the retail release of The Witcher on Switch can outsell its Modern Warfare counterpart on Xbox in Spain.

It's crazy how less concentrated sales are in Spain. FIFA and Call of Duty are big sellers but it seems the gap between them and other popular game is less wide with respect to other countries.

Benji has good sources but he is not always right and has come out with a few similar statements that were wrong already this year. Best to wait for actual NPD numbers or a press release to get a better idea

What did Xbox do to upset the Spanish lol I knew their sales there are really bad there, but a chart like this really does show the contrast to PS. Did the Xbox 360 do OK in Spain?

I did not expect Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to debut below Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII in Spain considering it saw a notable increase in UK market.

Regarding hardware sales Switch always slows down a lot in October and Lite did not help much to break this tendency.

Luigi's Mansion 2 has sold around 50.000 units in UK, while Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is nowhere to be seen, test failed!

I mean in regards to more recent weeks. Pretty much ever since ~2 weeks after lite, PS4 sales have soared. As others have said, this is due to a fairly large discount, though

The next FIFA on Xbox will probably be the last non-cross gen title on this console that will chart in France.

Very good result for Medievil. Can't wait to see if Pokemon Sword and Shield will perform better than Sun and Moon and how it will impact Switch numbers.

Also the fact that PS4 is selling well shows that there is still a lot of demand at a lower price than 299.

Why is the PS4 in the last weeks ahead (again) of the Switch? Switch was ahead for some weeks, was the PS4 that got a bump or the Switch a decline (that is unlikely with the launch of the Little)

Per se i dont think that this discount has so much impact, for PS4 €70 deal is common (at least in Portugal, that is Spain Neighborhood) and with Black Friday on Horizon people are on hold for greater discounts.

It's pretty much a guarantee that they are going to be notably down from Sun and Moon. They sold 300k(!) OW. No Switch game has even come close to 200k OW thus far. Pokemon could, I am not holding my breath, but even then that's a 30% decline.

And as far as Switch is concerned the Pokemon Switch Lite is out this week, so hopefully that will give us an idea about things.
