Activision Blizzard's 'Call of Duty: WWII' debuts in customary fashion at No1 and just like last year's 'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare' this is a 3 format release (PS4/Xbox One/PC).

Week 1 sales of 'WWII' are significantly higher than 'IW', in fact some 57% higher in units and 21% higher in revenue (last year sales on Legacy / Legacy Pro editions were substantial, which is why overall ASP last year was significantly higher). Ubisoft's 'Assassin's Creed Origins' drops from a debut at No1 to No2 this week, followed at No3 by EA's 'FIFA 18'. Nintendo drop 2 places to No4 with Switch 'Super Mario Odyssey' and Sony's PS4 'Gran Turismo Sport' remains at No5. The only other new entry within the Top 40 is Focus Home Interactive's 'Spintires: Mudrunner' debuting at No24 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Forza 7 in 7th is fitting.

GT Sport gets a decent hold.

Horizon 3 is insane in the UK, always seems to find a way back into the Top 10.

+1 to Mudrunner sales ;)

I didn't expect CoD to have such a strong start, I bet they're already doing a sequel

I'm surprised to see CoD debut at #1. I observed no hype for the game, and predicted it would bomb as the public became tired of the CoD formula.

Nice to see two Nintendo titles in the top 10, it's not all AAA doom and gloom.

PS4 Carreer Leaderboard - 3.710.609.

Online was broken the entire weekend sadly but at least that number of people made a MP match.

Can anyone check Xbox?

Great Debut for COD WW2, with digital units included, I reckon it would be at 1 million+ or close to it?

Really big debut for COD and good hold for AC:O and GTS.
This year should be huge for PS4 in UK right? GTS bundle. COD bundle, Destiny 2 bundle, BF2 bundle and in the top of that they had Fifa bundle this year!

I hope you weren't looking at ERA to see the hype status:P

Are you our friend the Digimon fan? nice seeing you here if so.

It was a great idea going back to WW2. Battlefield experienced a similar resurgence being set in WW1 and I think people are very keen to play these shooters set in the past as a contrast to all the futuristic stuff we've had in recent years. I completely expect a follow up to WW2 by Sledgehammer set in the east and fighting the Japanese Empire.

I was judging by the hype here and on other enthusiast websites, I guess that was a mistake. Also the trailers for CoD didn't even show any gameplay footage but perhaps most people don't mind that. I've not played Digimon, must be someone else

The Bolded here in the UK are putting in work for Sony. COD selling itself as usual but whatever they paid for the FIfa Marketing deal is money well spent. COD & Fifa bundles is like a 1-2 punch here in the EU. It's the two names parent gravitate towards almost naturally.

Maybe just looking for hype in the wrong place, my CoD buddies haven't been that excited for a CoD all gen.

I need more info about GTS :D

http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articl...nch-57-percent-bigger-than-infinite-warfare77

The game's success doesn't quite match 2015's Black Ops III, at least in physical form. This is to be expected as Black Ops is by far the strongest Call of Duty sub-brand. However, the data does not factor in digital sales, and GamesIndustry.biz understands that digital console sales for WWII are significantly higher year-on-year, and have taken a larger share of the market. This follows our story last week about the rapid acceleration of digital growth in the console space.

Some more % drops...

AC -36%
FIFA 18 -17%
Mario -67%
Zelda +25%
MK8 +25%
Wolf II -55%

It's COD. No matter how much it seems to be hated on these forums, it's still the go to multiplayer games for alot of people.

Forza Horizon 3 selling almost as much as Forza Motorsport 7 a year later is ridiculous. Forza 7 will get a bump this week though as its on offer for X bundles (got a copy for ÂŁ20 at GAME with mine)

That means a bigger drop than what I expected... I was expecting around 20k this week (over 123k).

[Week 1] GRAN TURISMO: SPORT (SONY COMPUTER ENT.) - 74,000
[Week 2] GRAN TURISMO: SPORT (SONY COMPUTER ENT.) - 29,000 / 103,000
All we know is that it's sold more than 13K and less than 26K.
So its between 117K to 129K.

The lists are supposed to go out every Monday morning, which will show the previous week.
There has been some internal changes in ANGI/GSD, and dont know if they have been completed yet, but has resulted in what you mentioned with late lists and sometimes they dont come.

Good to see CoD back so strong
That future stuff was a big mistake and going back to the roots helped them a lot.

CoD probably back to an easy 20+ Million Seller this way and Fifa will come close to these heights too with a worldcup around the corner.

These are the biggest games in the world and they do that YEARLY and will stay that way.
CoD and no hype lol

The gap widened too as it seems between PS4&X1 Splits.
As a Fifa player it was noticeable too especially if you watch some Xbox Streamers on the side. All they complain about is not finding enough players or rather more often than not the same players especially in the higher divisions of Ultimate Team or in the higher tiers of FUT Champions.
There is a reason many of the PS4 Fifa Pro Players play their 40 Weekend League games on the Xbox too (= 80 games in 2 days lol) cause of how much easier it is to reach Top100 or rather Top64 to qualify for the offline Tournaments on the Xbox.
The shift of the marketing Deal had a huge impact which you can easily see on the available items on the transfermarket in Ultimate Team.
At EU Primetime there are 8-9 Million Items up for sale on Playstation while 2-3 Million on the Xbox side while the difference was never this big in previous years.

Bundles and marketing are working.
Their grip on Europe got even tighter and Star Wars is just around the corner.

What is interesting to me is the Xbox version of AC:O being ahead in units in the second week in the individual charts. Even though it is a 50/50 ratio for this week, is this due to more software available for PS4 vs Xbox, users waiting for X1X, or AC:O bundles/promotions?
