Huh, those FIFA and Battlefront splits are huge this week.
This is an older Top 10.
But, coincidentially enough, Postabargain posted this week's one (they skipped last week)

that game is holding extremely well. Much better than I thought.
Yeah, I think that's about 40% or so of first week sales, really good legs (did it have sales this week? I recall something like that).
That 3% is for this week, not for total sales. For the full sales, it's likely lower, although it's had a decent number of weeks at the 3% range already.02 (02) FIFA 18 (EA SPORTS) - 121,030 / 1,763,930 [-30%]
with 3% FIFA switch would be up to ~53k retail.
on it's own it seems like a decent number, but it's a drop in the bucket for FIFA.
Wonder if it was enough for EA. Also wonder about digital of course.
maybe one day we'll get numbers for nba and fifa.
that game is holding extremely well. Much better than I thought.
I think when it was shown at E3 I predicted 3-4 million LTD for it. While a lot of other people were more in the 1-2 million range since the genre isn't big.
I'm feeling better week by week.
Should be close to 100k by now surely?Yeah, I think that's about 40% or so of first week sales, really good legs (did it have sales this week? I recall something like that).
It is even better...GT Sport is above this sku in unit sales, so GTS sold more than 64k this week.
2.The Switch can be a vital platfom for certain games like Sonic, but kind of embarrassing for others like Fifa.
I don't think EA will care much about the Switch when it comes to their big titles. It sold 53k maybe but I reckon not a lot of people are actually playing FUT on that version.02 (02) FIFA 18 (EA SPORTS) - 121,030 / 1,763,930 [-30%]
with 3% FIFA switch would be up to ~53k retail.

3% is for this week alone... ~3.5k sold.02 (02) FIFA 18 (EA SPORTS) - 121,030 / 1,763,930 [-30%]

Crash Bandicoot Returns 1-10.Activision must have about 10 Crash Bandicoot games in development at this rate.
I don't think EA will care much about the Switch when it comes to their big titles. It sold 53k maybe but I reckon not a lot of people are actually playing FUT on that version.
Wut? It is only behind FIFA and CoD in revenue ranking... it is doing tons of money.
I don't really understand why "price drops" always fully explain better sales. Ask Bethesda how it's working for Prey.
I think the bundling is more important.
FIFA did about 121k total this week:So since it seems FiFA 18 PS4 did similar to Odyssey's launch week of around 85k, then that puts it around 161k? Then breaking it down around 5k for Switch and 360 version?
I'm just estimating of course.
Switch should be about 3,600, and XB360 should be about 2,400 units.UK Week 48, 2017
01 (01) CALL OF DUTY: WWII (ACTIVISION) - 149,280 / 1,342,280 [-40%]
02 (02) FIFA 18 (EA SPORTS) - 121,030 / 1,763,930 [-30%]

04 (04) STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT II (EA GAMES) - 49,647 / 253,747 [-33%]

09 (17) GRAND THEFT AUTO V (ROCKSTAR)
10 (16) CRASH BANDICOOT N.SANE TRILOGY (ACTIVISION)
oh, I thought the chart was ltd for some reason.3% is for this week alone... ~3.5k sold.
It is probably way below 53k lifetime.
Corrected it.FIFA did about 121k total this week:
Switch should be about 3,600, and XB360 should be about 2,400 units.
I don't think EA will care much about the Switch when it comes to their big titles. It sold 53k maybe but I reckon not a lot of people are actually playing FUT on that version.
But it is big because there is demand. Price unlocks that demand but it doesn't always, which is the point of the comparison. It is never that simple as to drop price (or compress margin) and watch sales improve.I guess Sony is happy with lower margins due to discounted prices.
It doesn't. But it's part of the picture. The comparison with Prey doesn't make sense at all. GTS is advertised by Sony and belongs to one of the biggest franchises in gaming history.
As i did stat this last week, ill continue now.
Forza Motorsport 7 retail sales in the UK:
Week 40: <33k
Week 41: <12k (64% WoW drop)
Week 42:
Week 43:
Week 44: 8k< X <13k
Week 45: 12k< X <19.5K (50% WoW increase)
Week 46: >10.5k
Week 47: >45k (332% WoW increase)
Week 48: <34k
So Forza 7 sold already well above 150k units in total.
I see if we have enough data for GTS and can do that, too
But it is big because there is demand. Price unlocks that demand but it doesn't always, which is the point of the comparison. It is never that simple as to drop price (or compress margin) and watch sales improve.
Terrible.FIFA Switch sales:
Week 39: ~8,300 (1% of 830,000)
Week 40: ~2,500
Week 41: ~2,320
Week 42: ~1,910
Week 43: ~1,700
Week 44: ~1,410
Week 45: >1,410 (no explicit new sales number, but up from previous week)
Week 46: no numbers
Week 47: no numbers
Week 48: ~3,600
The numbers we know add up to 23k, but that's a highly erroneous number, since it is missing two weeks, and it doesn't take the error margins of the percentages into account (1% means anything from 0,51% to 1,49%). So, don't run with this number, but pour salt onto it instead. That said, I think FIFA Switch might be at or close to 30k right now, definitely over with digital added, of course.
01 (01) CALL OF DUTY: WWII (ACTIVISION) - 149,280 / 1,342,280 [-40%]

So Forza 7 sold already above 150k units in total.
I see if we have enough data for GTS and can do that, too
Sorry, there is not enough data to do that.Would love FH3 number too (sorry for being cheeky here).
Im assuming its perhaps the best selling racer this gen in Uk?
The absolute truth. I'd be willing to extend it to E3 2018 but no longer than that.Better have that Crash 4/CTR remake announcement ready at E3 or there will be hell to pay.
As i did stat this last week, ill continue now.

Actually looking at it now Rayman Legends must have done very well in the UK out of all its platform releases.
I know in my case, i bought this and Odyssey as a Christmas present to myself. I've got friends as well who are looking to buy it before Christmas after picking up Switch consoles in Black Friday.Yeah, I think that's about 40% or so of first week sales, really good legs (did it have sales this week? I recall something like that).
Let's be real - it's only selling well because of a huge price reduction. It's selling a lot of copies, but not making much money. Personally I'm disappointed to see it at no. 3 in the charts, I hoped more gamers would boycott it and punish Sony for ruining the single player experience.
If the game had bombed, Sony would have released a proper GT 7 a year or two later. But since consumers rewarded this half-assed effort, they have no motivation to make a proper GT title now.Bloody hell...
"It's not what I want it to be so it should fail"
