They get a cut from all subscribers. Without popular streamers Twitch isn't viable.
They get half of a sub for the normal streamers (so $2.50) and a portion of bits sales, the larger streamers get a bigger cut though but these are the people bringing in 10's of thousands of subs.
It's precisely because of the first one that the second is so bad.

The dog was curious and for some reason went to do whatever it was doing, but if I started doing yoga and let the dog go and sniff my private parts I would stand up immedieatly. Don't know how can she stay and continue to let that behaviour happen for longer than a sec.
Also putting it in context with past behaviour of pets, doesn't feel like you should shrug that off (i.e. that's just what dogs do).
