NahExalt drops were very common in Synthesis and Flashback Synthesis as well.
If you are completely new to the game then you should be looking at general tutorials for the game, not the latest patch/expansion in which most of the changes/additions would be lost on your anyway. This game seems a bit intimidating for new comers. But I'm still going it to download it on PC. Do you have any good tutorials for the latest expansion/patch?
It's kind of why I felt that bows and ED/Contagion would remain meta despite the heavy emphasis on Melee since they can kill things off screen despite having to stop moving for a brief moment to attack. ED/Contagion never got nerfed, and some of the new mechanics/passive changes introduced can apply to bows giving them more options (of course Deadeye can still be used) on top of no real nerfs other than bugs affecting skills.Yup, can't compete with skills that can clear and move at the same time.
Ever since a few leagues ago, the Atlas gets reshuffled and new league mechanics means new shape strategies. What maps do you folk generally shape? I'm never sure which ones to go for - I've used this in the past (it's been updated for 3.7) but I wondered if anyone had any other resources.
Type /global 820 and ask around in that chat. I got all of them done in less than half an hour.I really hate how random the trials are in maps. Got two characters to 80 and I've only got 4 done, seen two of them like 5 different times each.
Edit: Complaining helps. Just found one of the two I'm missing.
Elder 2H Maces can't roll "Socketed gems are supported by Fortify" and that makes them like .... so much inferior to Axes and Swords that can roll that stat. No idea why this is excluded for Maces definitely seems like an after thought. So I thought it'd be more apparent because of the melee hype but it doesnt seem like it's on the radar: is there a reason Elder 2h maces are actually garbage?
It feels like they just forgot to enable the phys dmg/gem hybrids for maces, but because noone uses them it was never an issue.
Seems really weird. I get that there should be weapon differences, but the gap is too wide in regards to that.
Just shape maps you like and/or have good cards
Also avoid RMT sites
Thanks. I've only just got the first orb (I have shitty luck getting the maps I need and I prefer to try to work my way to them rather than buy them) but I'll keep these in mind.Ever since a few leagues ago, the Atlas gets reshuffled and new league mechanics means new shape strategies.
Pre Tier 10 maps Shaping doesn't matter that much unless going for a specific low tier farming strategy like Burial Chambers, Channel etc. You generally just shape the map you like running the most and then once you have beaten Shaper you have to really thing about which map you want to use your Elder Orb on (which turns a map into tier 16 for max rewards).
I am personally currently running Shaped Dune for a variety of reasons (tier 13 shaped map). It's an open layout which makes using Cyclone and farming the Legion mechanic very lucrative. It drops the Earth Drinker divination card along with a couple of other nice Div cards for extra profit and the boss isn't behind a loading screen/door so I can go into it with full on kill buffs and just destroy it. The major downside to Shaped Dunes is that it requires mostly yellow sextants around it which increases the cost of running it.
My Elder Map is going to be some map that is surrounded by white maps (for white sextants) and is an open/easy layout. Most probably going to be CIty Square but we'll see. Close to killing the Shaper now, have killed the Guardians but just need a couple of items on my character before attempting it.

Just follow Raiz's SST build. Not really sure where to go with my gear, I probably need to craft a shield but I've got no idea what I'm doing with that. I generally try to see what other people are doing but it doesn't seem like many people are playing physical SST Deadeye.
I'll keep that in mind if I end up getting fed up. My 4th point doesn't mean much for this build, it seems.
Just follow Raiz's SST build.
Other than that, follow some folks on POE Ninja:
4 people lvls 93-100 using the skill with Deadeye and pure Physical.
The shards are the ones that pierce (not the initial projectil) and that's where your main clear comes from. And they are also the ones that benefit the most from Pierce so it makes sense.I have been, that's where I got the idea. I don't get why he uses pierce though. SST specifically says it can't pierce and the damage isn't really anything. I have been checking poe.ninja too, even looking at the gear the Glads are using. Just seems kind of all over.

That just means you are hitting like 7 enemies in a pack. There are more enemies than 7 in a pack if you are only hitting 7 targets, it's the explosion that's really going to do the clean up. Especially with the unique threshold jewel which causes explosions WHILE chaining which means every time you chain you are also exploding (so 7 explosions). My main clear is the shield bouncing, it bounces 7 times before exploding. The explosion isn't really seeming that important.

Because all the Deadeye's are using Lioneye's chest which gives Pierce as a support. Nullifying a reason to get the Pierce nodes on the Ascendancy and instead go for Fast and Deadly. That doesn't make Pierce itself bad for SST, it just makes it redundant at that point when you are already supporting it with Pierce support.Yeah I'm only hitting 7 but I attack multiple times a second. I guess the confusion is that I don't see another person using it. None of the Deadeyes are spec'd in to Powerful Precision either.

Need at least 2000 armor shield and as close to 3000 as possible for good damage. You can get one of those Colossal shields and throw Dense fossils at it then craft some %armour, might put you over the top.
Click on Dense fossils to see which stats remain and what you are likely to get. For best rolls you want an i86 shield. Dense fossils give better chance to roll armor values and even the quality mod (which also increases armour).
Damn, got a 1900 armor one I should have stuck with. 20 overpriced fossils down and I barely get over 1300.
Always get 2 base items to roll, if one looks decent start rolling the other =), I've made the mistake once before
I will start my Spectral Shield Throw character, will level with bows up until the jewel threshold
On POE Ninja that Dahbomb linked, there's a guy at lvl 94 with a tabula. I love that attitude.

Glad to hear it :) That channel has saved me a lot of trouble. So I hadn't seen one since replying to you, joined the chat and found someone with it within 3 minutes.
Nearly at Act 8. I'm playing Frost Blades Gladiator and smashing shit, my gear is pretty solid right now. It has been a solid year since I last played so there's so much new stuff. I caved and dropped £50 on the Pit Fighter Pack, I was sick of looking shit, feels overpriced but oh well.
If there is one word you can use to describe the MTX in PoE it is "overpriced".
Yup, everything feels like it's twice the price it should be, it doesn't feel like value for money at all, so I'd be less inclined to spend more in the future, whereas I've spent like £400 on Warframe and it felt like a fair trade, plus you can earn their premium currency just by playing. I've supported plenty of F2P games in the past but PoE really sticks out for me as taking the piss.
Yup this is what I doThey are expensive. I usually just go with the supporter packs when I can afford it and buy skill effects etc when stuff is on sale.
