At first I was planning to wait because there's so much coming out, but then the hype got the best of me :/
So yeah, already pre-ordered the super Deluxe from GMG.

I bought it during the EGS sale when it was up for a little bit.

I find it weird people wanna wait out of loyalty to a corporation.

Waiting for performance impressions for the PS4 Pro, if they're any good (and if the game isnt terrible, obviously) I'll pick up a physical copy a couple weeks after launch.

If not, I'll probably just pick it up when it gets cheaper on Steam. I usually only have the mental bandwidth to focus on one "shooter type" game at a time (with the rest of my time used to play single player stuff) , and that spot is looking to get filled by Gears 5 for most of the holiday season.

I've got both too much to start/finish playing, and too much coming out in the next few months. Will get it on Steam eventually, but honestly I probably wouldn't pick it up even if it was on steam day 1.

Sure. Storefronts don't hurt my feelings.

TBH I just feel like there's no way to get an honest poll result here, since if you're really anticipating the game but invested in storefront wars you may feel a poll is an easier outlet to vent than depriving yourself of a game you are eager to play

If the reviews are good, sure - I dont care which storefront gets my money, they're all shades of evil in my books.

Except maybe GOG and the indie places.

It's weird because it's not about that. It's not loyalty to a company. The idea that it is that needs to be thrown in the garbage.

It's about knowing where you prefer to buy products and how it's delivered, knowing why that is, and not devaluating your own position as a customer by accepting any and all attempts from large companies to stear you to other ways and stores. And not rewarding such things with preorders.

None of that really seems immoral to me tbh. The whole point of the industry is to sell stuff.

No. Honestly, I don't know if I'll bother with the Steam release unless it's incredibly cheap now.

I didn't say it was immoral, anywhere.

I said that the thing you said about loyalty to a corporation is really more about loyalty to yourself, to your preferences. And those preferences are based on practical aspects about where and how a product is delivered.

If I get it I'll likely wait a few years for a deep discount and for it to be anywhere but EGS.

Gonna be watching for all these boycotters in the OT.

Not a big Borderlands fan so it's an easy skip. I was far more interested in Control and I skipped that. Will probably get it eventually on Steam unless I pick up a used PS4 copy.

I don't like egs but the truth is that this would be a deep sale game for me either way.

I would have answered No but it has nothing to do with it being on EGS or not. I don't have the time to play the game right now but at some point I will give it a shot on whichever platform has it for the cheapest price.

Me and my cousin tried playing 2 on one of our Friday night hangouts and got incredibly bored like 20 minutes in. Don’t think I’ve enjoyed the series since 1.

We were going to wait on steam but decided to go xbox because we don't want to wait. None of us want to install EGS just for BL3.

Waiting on a sale myself. If egs has a great sale I might bite. I assume the egs and eventual steam release can play together?

I find the series sort of dull and monotonous, so it's easy for me to wait for a Steam release and a discount down the road. If they'd managed to secure exclusivity on Doom Eternal or Cyberpunk, though, I'd feel compelled, I think.

I don't buy games at launch anymore, so by the time its price gets reduced significantly, it'll be on Steam.

Considering buying it on Steam a few years from now, when it's available in a complete edition and on sale. And assuming its "humor" is more than just a bunch of memes and dated references. And also assuming I'm not already hopelessly addicted to Destiny 3 by that time...

I don't know any friend who has the EGS installed on their PCs, so .... no. Its a coop game for me and coop requires friends. I will wait for Steam release, or more likely a big Steam sale down the line. I have too much shit to play as is.
