EA may as well try to salvage Anthem. In the right hands, they could pull a No Mans Sky V2 maybe. I'm not sure the original hands are the best hands for that though. They had no shortage of time, resources and money, and should have done better.
I wonder if EA will ever learn that shipping something before it's ready just because they're so laser focused on the current years earnings number is a terrible idea. I've no doubt many of the dev team knew it was mediocre and not ready, and the execs preferred blind optimism over reality. They've had big issues with Battlefield launches in the past too, so there's no excuse for this. That's why they get paid the big bucks, to avoid catastrophic strategic blunders like this.
