Ok. Bus Simulator 2018 was released in June 2018. I installed the mod tools for the simulator (unreal engine) in June 2018. I also found several "backups" with my steamID (steamID3 to be precise) in the filenames. First backup was made in June 2018. What the fuck? Why?

I would prefer to let Madj make it, but if he doesn't want to, you can do so without the information from Reddit, as what Madj found is laser focused, accurate, and verified by multiple people including myself.
The only reason I'd want to play is that I work in DC and all the footage I've seen looks strikingly accurate.

Why are the files so big? I never tried to import my friendlist until EGS started, and yet there are files from June 2018.
I connected my account to other sites and programs and NONE of them collected/saved additional data anywhere.
EDIT: They violated the GDPR again with this.

I never seen this method of importing friends from steam, normally you will link your accounts through steam own api.

Even if EGS uses it only to import friends, it shouldn't collect Steam data before I actually use this import function.
