Really bummed the gaming laptop thread hasn't made an appearance here... I've got an itch that needs scratching but don't want to make a misstep :(
Go for it, I think most people in here would post recommendations and such to help you out.

Please link to the peripherals thread https://www.resetera.com/threads/peripherals-ot-mechanical-keyboards-mice-headphones-and-more.1822/
I can probably add a few lines about that too but it would fit better in a thread together with TVs, which i don't really know much about.Nice wiork, added to the OP.
All we need now is a thread for PC gaming monitors.
Would a "What's on your desktop" thread be too off topic-ish on a video game-centric forum?
Really interested in that one.
Was thinking more about the aesthetic side, like Rainmeter and stuff - but apps are also an interesting topic. This would be quite useful, there are a ton of applications that help out with gaming and general utility software that are must haves.
Go for it.

And uhhhh...can't really do that, maybe in six(I think it was six atleast) months, when I can actually create threads lol.
Yeah, a thread with recommended software would be very nice.
I think we may have to wait for those. If I recall tjese are the ones we had previously:
PPSSPP Emulation and Discussion Thread
Is there a gaming laptop thread live ? I can't find one in the searches or the index in OP :(
I have not not seen one.
Honestly if someone just makes a basic OT it would probally get the ball rolling I mean it would only need to get updated once a month and most members would be posting news story on new models and what not.
I created a thread for gaming laptops (now that I have thread privileges :p)
Please add this to the index.
Nice thread, have found some good stuff I didn't know about. Thanks!
Finally! Some recognition.
I just wanted to say that this is amazing thread and considering the stupid amount of cash I just spent upgrading my system (mainly stupid due to GPU pricing), I appreciate the work here.
Is there a retro pc thread for those of use trying to put together 486 and older pcs for retro Dos gaming?
Is there a retro pc thread for those of us trying to put together 486 and older pcs for retro Dos gaming?
Is there a better thread than "PC questions that don't really deserve their own thread" for asking for game recommendations?
Here's a thread on a very early PS4 emulator: https://www.resetera.com/threads/orbital-a-ps4-emulator-is-now-in-the-works.31195/
?
A couple of corrections for the list in the OP:
The Steam ID thread should presumably link to https://www.resetera.com/threads/steam-id-list-era.1147/ instead of a random post in the thread. Also the active Dolphin thread is here https://www.resetera.com/threads/dolphin-ot-gamecube-and-wii-in-the-high-fidelity-era.6458/ and not at the URL that is linked to.
