for someone complaining about others being obtuse and focusing on irrelevant details, you have ironically missed a key detail from the article itself! Are some of her defenders here being deliberately obtuse? This seems to be in response to AOC calling her on her shit which itself seemed to be in response for PELOSI mocking AOC and the other freshmen.
But defenders of Pelosi seem to fixate on irrelevant details or deny it being hypocrisy.
It is not in response to AOC. Read the article. Are some of her defenders here being deliberately obtuse? This seems to be in response to AOC calling her on her shit which itself seemed to be in response for PELOSI mocking AOC and the other freshmen.

Lol pathetic. Pelosi attacks them daily but when they speak up to her over aiding concentration camps they need to quiet down. The fuck out of hereThis needed to be said. You don't get to blast other people in public like this and expect them not get pissed off or ignore it and vote with your. That isn't just how politics work. That's not how fucking life works. If someone I worked with blasted me on twitter or facebook I damn well wouldn't be smiling in their face the next day at work or even want to work with them. There is a level of fucking common decency that needs to be at play here and some freshman have no sense of it. That shit would not fly in any job!!
She's asking progressive house members not to call out or blast fell democratic members in public over topics. Which is what some are doing. Blast conseratives all the want. You don't attack the very people that will be your allies. That is a big problem many of the left have. I've said so in the past. It is beyond stupid to be protesting house members, leadership or even those running for President when they actually support your topics.
Yeah, I see her line of logic. I just also see why people are pissed off at her. She has a supremely unpleasant position.Yes, yes she is. And the reason is that Blue Dogs were the reason the house flipped, not the progressive caucus. I, you, or anybody else may not like that, but it's the truth.
Lmao. Classic kirblar post. Pathetic Schilling.
No, she's telling Mark Pocan not to call Abigail Spanberger a child abuser. So the woman that threw one of the first black muslim congress woman under the bus and joined in a public smear campaign to appease lobbyists and a genocidal state is now telling people not to call her and her cronies out on twitter?
HOWEVER why the fuck does she publicly go after progressive members of her caucus?
I agree. Her tone has been awful if her overall goal is unity. Patronizing people does not make people want to work with you.If this is how Pelosi feels about sniping she wouldn't be doing it.
Like A fucking parent, these freshmen need to get on the fast track. I'll be damn if they are the reason we lose the 2020 election because of all this bs.
Yes, classic "Kirblar read the 4th article of the article" post.
Democrats inside the room said they interpreted that remark as a shot at Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.), co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, who called moderate Democrats members of the "Child Abuse Caucus" in a tweet over their support for the Senate's version of the emergency humanitarian package.
We do have that shit on the left already, it's just everyone thought a Democratic Freedom Caucus would be a bloc of progressives when it's actually a bloc of moderates.I can't tell if this tweet is in support of a "left freedom caucus" or not.
The only reason the GOP hasn't been more effective since they came into power is because their dumbass ultra-conservative wing fucks everything up "on principle" all the damn time. The Freedom Caucus sometimes saves the day for the left because they're so damned stubborn that they won't go along with leadership.
Big "no thanks" to having that shit on the left.
lol
The issue with replicating the Freedom Caucus' tactics is that the left doesn't have the stomach to inflict massive pain on people in order to exact ideological purity from bills by playing hardball. I don't think this is actually a weakness, I think it's a good thing. It makes them "less effective" but it also makes them not monstrous assholes.I can't tell if this tweet is in support of a "left freedom caucus" or not.

*cough cough*She's also not saying don't criticize. Shes saying dont blast your colleagues on twitter.... which is pretty standard protocol for professionals in pretty much every other line of work.

You're such a disingenuous lap dog insit's insane. Acting like this wasnt spurned by AoC (and others) to excuse this bullshit is so fucking pathetic.Pelosi's comments, which were described as stern, came during the first full caucus meeting since a major blow up over emergency border funding last month between progressive and moderate lawmakers as well as a recent spat with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and her freshman allies.
You do have that on the left. It's the blue dogs. We cling to their graces because they're slightly better than a fascist and can sometimes be counted on for a vote when it won't risk their incumbency.I can't tell if this tweet is in support of a "left freedom caucus" or not.

This is probably the correct take. It's also a different position than the GOP, in that the FC is an extreme outlier, but for the Dems, the moderate caucus in the House actually lines up pretty close to the ideological makeup of the Senate due to the Senate's conservative lean. And so instead of that caucus being annoying holdouts, they have the opposite problem in the House, where that bloc of the caucus is willing to roll over and just go with whatever the Senate does.We do have that shit on the left already, it's just everyone thought a Democratic Freedom Caucus would be a bloc of progressives when it's actually a bloc of moderates.
The liberal side of the party has the luxury of spouting off on Twitter. The Democrats who have to represent districts that are 50/50 split don't. The liberal side continues to alienate themselves into irrelevancy.
The most important vote a member of Congress makes each session is the one for Speaker. Which is why keeping a majority is so important. The liberals would rather lose the majority than actually come to the table and negotiate. I don't understand how their tactics benefits anyone other than the republicans who are salivating at the thought of taking back those swing districts.

You want to explain why it's ok for Pelosi to attack her own colleagues?Yes, classic "Kirblar read the 4th article of the article" post.
You hear that? Stop tweeting or she'll do to you what she did to Trump, Acosta and Barr.
