I've chosen to take this very personally.
So this thread lead me to the great new Olivia Jaimes Nancy comics, but also to the original Bushmiller comics which really struck a chord with me. Enough that I went out and bought this book, How to Read Nancy: The Elements of Comics in Three Easy Panels by Paul Karasik and Mark Newgarden.
I recommend it to anyone with even a passing interest in Nancy. It's a huge book that has an incredible amount of research put into it. It also has a collection of fantastic original Bushmiller Nancy strips in it.
Yeah! I actually emailed Fantagraphics about a reprint of Nancy Loves Sluggo and Nancy is Happy, they replied to me:Finished reading the Nancy Loves Sluggo collection. Wanted to buy myself a copy but damn, this thing is hard to find. They need to reprint it.
So if anyone else is also interested in them, emailing to let you know your interest is probably a good idea :) I really hope they can do a reprint. We currently do not have any plans for reprinting these volumes, but as the fandom for Nancy rises we may need to.

So this comment was made for today's comic. This is some incredible salt.

Man, I went through a couple weeks of Gilchrist comics and just can't find any humor at all.My favorite is the response that points out Gilchrist hadn't done a full tribute 9/11 comic since 2015. 2016 had a header tacked on to an (I assume) unrelated comic that ends with an invisible plane joke, and 2017 didn't acknowledge the date at all.

I'm particularly enjoying the pun around "achieving her dreams"
She's still awake at 2am, so there's a literal meaning to a phrase which is normally used only in a figurative sense.
Email Fantagraphics and let them know you want reprints! I think they'd do pretty well if they reprinted the Nancy is Happy/Nancy Loves Sluggo volumes.I went to Half Price Books tonight thinking I might score a cheap Nancy reprint volume from Fantagraphics and struck out. Damn.
She didn't get any sleep though so she can blame her future failure on not getting enough sleep.
Needs to start doing this more just to spite them now.
"Oh cool hoverboard, Nancy!"
"Yolo!"
sluggo is lit
Apologies for the double. Usually I'm not a huge fan of the meta comics but this is fantastic.
This man? NOT lit.

It's like the biggest fuck you to the previous author, lovely.
Aunt Fritzi only wearing snowsuits from now on instead of being the '50 pin-up from the previous author strips.
