Yeah I'm enjoying taking my time with it, running around and talking to everyone whenever they have a new speech bubble. As much as I love each Persona entry's unique vibe, one thing that's always been my favorite about P3 is having the main cast living under one roof and regularly seeing what everyone's up to. Also sometimes I just chill and listen to the music a while. xDI'm actually further back than you. lol I'm playing super slow. Every time I play, I get really emotional and I end up just staring and absorbing everything like it's my first time playing.
Yeah... he is way busted with all the crit passives. I got one with Apt Pupil, Crit boost and crit amp and yeah... unless the enemies have a slash resistance he is going to be attacking more than once.
I had never thought about this before right now.
What happens if you bring Junpei, and Akihiko on 7/7 instead of Akihiko and Mitsuru. The game forces you to bring Yukari so it can have the scene with her and the MC. Then when you meet Akihiko and Mitsuru in the hall she's all flustered. If it's Akihiko and Junpei are they just normal?
In every playthrough of this game I boot Junpei from the squad ASAP haha
Akihiko insists, rather loudly and with a startled jump, that nothing happened!1!I had never thought about this before right now.

I'm really conflicted on how to handle this situation.
Massive 11/7 and beyond spoilers.
So you can save Chidori in this version as well... I really wish they would have just cut this option. I first ran into this in P3P on accident and I could not believe how poorly it was explained. It just completely undermines one of Junpei's most important moments. Someone in here mentioned that it was done much better in FES so I watched a video of it... yeah, no. There is no way to salvage this terrible change.
I could just ignore Junpei... but that doesn't feel right.
Why is it poorly explained? Her life force remained in the flowers she revived, it in turn revives her. It's simple and easy to grasp.
She's a first year, first years don't go on the school tripHow come Chihiro is the only school link not on the school trip?

Makes me feel just a tiny bit sad that Yukari feels kind of... blander, at least in the English dub.It was a Second and Third Year trip, so she's excluded on the grounds for being a first year student.
Also, look at this cute art!

You can chalk that up with how the PS2 games were localized, for supposedly Yukari in the Reload English dub is supposed to be 1:1 with her Japanese portrayal.
And I won't lie, I do miss her spunk, especially with this infamous moment where she calls Makoto (the player) out for being a filthy degenerate with that maid outfit.

Yeah, for better or worse, Yukari had somewhat more of a "character" in the original English dub. Nothing wrong with being closer to the Japanese dub, of course, but it does make it a bit clearer that Yukari is a bit bland personality-wise. The "spunk" in the original dub gave her more of a nuance. I also felt the same with Chie's original English dub voice. YMMV of course. Haru, and to a lesser extent Futaba, in P5 also had a shift personality-wise from JP > EN.It's not really that it's more 1:1 with the Japanese portrayal, per se. There are still lines from the original localization that were changed from the Japanese version which have been kept. Rather, it's more that they changed the direction of the voice acting and word choices here and there to closer match her personality with the Japanese version. Which combined with the new scenes, gives her a nicer feel than what she had in the original localization.
I was never a huge fan of Yukari at first, and I think part of that was due to how the original localization made her a bit too spunky for me. So I'm actually enjoying the how she's portrayed in Reload.
I'm also very much excited to see how she's portrayed in Episode Aigis in Reload.
Yeah, the week before finals. Mitsuru is here every day and she's the only one available, that's your Mitsuru spam cue.For anyone playing between November/December, there'll be a week where Mitsuru will be the only social link available.
I recommend hanging out with other characters and saving Mitsuru for then (it's in the second week of December I think) since so very few are available then for exam prep week. Same for Suemitsu and the old couple
I went from rank 1 to 7 with her in one week lol
I started her S. Link the first day she was available, and only did hers whenever she was available too, and finished right before the first day of Finals. Perfectly lines up.Yeah, the week before finals. Mitsuru is here every day and she's the only one available, that's your Mitsuru spam cue.

Oh, sorry, with the P5 characters I just meant there's a shift in personality, not that either performance are any less than the other. I love both dubs in P5.Not sure I'd agree with Futaba. But that's because she's voiced by Aoi Yuuki and I shall hear nothing negative about Aoi Yuuki because it is Aoi Yuuki!
You're right about Chie tho - that's why so many like that original performance so much.
English Haru is more... I don't know what's the right word here, meek? Like she's more of a polite, soft-spoken nice girl. Fantastic VA work by Xanthe Huynh, really. OG Haru sounds kinda livelier, not as soft-spoken especially in PT attire. How did they change Haru? Making her bloodthirsty? 😂
As for Yukari, I prefer her original portrayal. Don't care if it was different from the Japanese version, it made her far more interesting. Michelle Ruff also gave a far better performance than the new VA, including emotional scenes.
Siegfried is good in Reload thanks to Crit Boost and Crit Amp, especially being able to stack them with Apt Pupil. P4 and P5 didn't have Crit Boost and Crit Amp, so you're only relying on Apt Pupil and Rebellion/Revolution, which makes Crit not as viable as it is in Reload.By the way, I'm so annoyed Siegfried is mid in 4 and 5 because of freaking Yoshitsune and his stupid Hassou Tobi. Sieg is the undisputable GOAT in 3. He carried my sorry ass in FES, and still did it in Reload.
That's a tricky question, as while they'll rotate back around days or a week later after they first became available, some of them are also bunched up close with each other, and based on story events, some will become permanently unavailable after a while.
Fair enough, I won't risk it then and just do them as soon as they show up.That's a tricky question, as while they'll rotate back around days or a week later after they first became available, some of them are also bunched up close with each other, and based on story events, some will become permanently unavailable after a while.
That's because he's the only one whose Linked Episodes aren't tied to/affected by story eventsI know for a fact Koromaru has no real deadline. I was "rank 1" with him at the start of January and was still able to complete his episode. Last one was January 30th...
Yukari is the best support in the game, you don't NEED to have her, but you're going to need to use a lot more items.I just got Aigis and don't plan on using Junpei or Yukari ever again. Is it still worth it to level them, or would I just be wasting my time?
I wouldn't worry too much about who you have in your party. The clock helps a lot in regards to catching characters back up. You can always use the MC as a healer too
It's what I did, as I always liked having Akihiko, Aigis, and Koromaru in a comp that focuses on powerful physical damage, with the MC taking a backseat and focusing on healing and almighty damage.
