People were concerned that it'll do badly because this is basically the sequel to Persona 5, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It could've been #1 if Valheim was not a thing.

I'll play it after Royal comes to steam. I own OG Persona 5 on PS4, but only made it 20% in before getting distracted. Would love to play Royal on PC.
It's more 2000's than 90's, and that's what makes it cool.
Actually the great sales they get prove it doesn't matter when stuff comes out on Steam. So long as it comes out.
Far more likely that P5R would be prioritized over mainline SMT.
I imagine the idea is more that they already have to work on making / marketing that game for the west anyway (similar to how this got a very late PC announcement) so it's easier to fit it into their plan.
And IIRC some datamining of Nocturne had Steam in it too.

There's many comments about crashes and the game not launching in the steam forum
and the bug report thread is 48 pages long
Steamcharts has it about 5k players at this moment concurrently, which puts it at about 3rd place for KT games (Nioh 1 in 2nd, and Nioh 2 in 1st). Though this is offset by the Early Access release on Friday and the fact it's the middle of the night / very early morning in the west, so it'll likely creep up and maybe even unseat Nioh 1's concurrent record. Doubt it has any chance of knocking Nioh 2 out though.
Sega wise it's behind Yakuza 0, 7, Valkyria Chronicles 1 and Persona 4 of Japeanse stuff, but it'll pass VC in a moment

None of the Atlus ports are stellar, people are just beyond thirsty for Persona games.

Yeah, the launch gap between deluxe and regular owners will skew the ccu peak so much. It'll probably pass Nioh 1, but not Nioh2.
Some people may have finished the game already by now.
Striker release in same Time as PS4 and Switch you know ? I think they begin to know that . ( For the rest of the World ).
That's...not why the game sold so well, but it is a fairly solid port. Other than a single weird crash during a day transition in-game, it's been really good so far.
Persona Striker is more 3x the price Nioh 2 in my country right now.
Koei Tecmo's games have amazing region price, Atlus is just batshit crazy.

Yeah, I'm not touching it until at least 50% off. I think lots of people would do the same too if they know that this is basically the sequel to P5.
It's not that weird considering it's a message in Japanese for that audience, trying to sell some people on the Steam version. There is a small part above it that mentions the worldwide release.

I feel like you could replace PC with Switch here, and Nintendo fans have been saying the same thing for years lol
Really loving my time with the game so far. Can't wait to double dip when P5R comes to Steam (hopefully by the end of this year, if not early next year)

PC has actually received a port of Persona 4G, a mainline title, while Switch hasn't.
One of the most baffling ports in my opinion. I'm not upset that PC got a port, I bought it there. I'm just extremely shocked Switch / PS4 didn't also get it.

Just saying that PC and Switch are a different case. PC probably doesn't have to wait for years since the game has already releasing on the platform.
