I think it's really good. 1.2 is fun of course, but a bit soft, DoF is razor thin. I mean good soft the way you would want for portraits, but not suited for street, on the move kind of a situation. But 1.8 up, and daytime, it's gorgeous. Tack sharp for subjects and the isolation is amazing...everything just pops. Very good lens. Basically I can see myself setting it at f2 and shooting all day, then going to 1.2 at night.
I have done some decent stuff with it, just not my favorite, the AF drives me a bit crazy, but when it hits it's good.I think it's really good. 1.2 is fun of course, but a bit soft, DoF is razor thin. Had my father's Yashica-Mat TLR from 1959 restored and just got back my first 3 rolls from a vacation in Lake George. Pretty happy with the results considering it has no light meter and hasn't taken a photo in over 40 years!

Honeysuckle.
Some recent efforts, haven't gone out and taken many recently.
I think your photography could work very well in BW as well.
Tripod dude. No shame in it.I did a simple portrait shoot yesterday, and man I have the shakiest hands holy shit hahaha! :(
Any suggestions for dealing with that?
Unless you have exceedingly shaky hands, it won't manifest too much in your photos unless your shutter speed is too low. You'll probably be fine.I did a simple portrait shoot yesterday, and man I have the shakiest hands holy shit hahaha! :(

It's ALL 135. I've been enjoying that lens, oddly really great for night photography in Times Square.
Go to Chinatown maybe on a Thursday night, you'll get good use out of that lens. And of course the skaters. It's ALL 135. I've been enjoying that lens, oddly really great for night photography in Times Square.
