This is like the original box right? Could be cool if they include the original demo disc for collection
Why aren't people making a bigger deal about an AC adapter not being included? Is that not widely known yet or do people just not care?
I feel like it's just as bad as the 3DS not including one, maybe even worse.

I like how the yellow blurb changed from "Free Demo Disc Inside" to "USB AC Adapter Not Included"
Was this really a thing? I got my first PS1 for xmas 97 and never had to turn it upside down or any crazy shit.
Wait, it doesn't come with one? The fuck Sony. That is the one thing you can let Nintendo do on their own.Why aren't people making a bigger deal about an AC adapter not being included? Is that not widely known yet or do people just not care?

That's actually hilarious.I like how the yellow blurb changed from "Free Demo Disc Inside" to "USB AC Adapter Not Included"
I will buy this just for the box, I got the famicom classic too just for the box. They really know how to milk our nostalgia
oh yes we need this. Dreamcast Classic too for the collection as well.
I wonder if it would feature a power brick...
I'm not angry about the PS1 Classic itself, I'm angry I can't purchase these games on PS4, when I know full well it is capable of emulating them, just like PS3, PSP, and Vita. This thing's existence proves it is not emulation or licensing issues getting in Sony's way with selling these games. They very clearly could release them on PS4, and are deliberately choosing not to. It's rotten.This.
Yes, the Nintendo classics absolutely inspired this. But honestly, why be mad about that? Nintendo wasn't the first to do this and it's great to see some appreciation from Sony towards their own legacy.
Enough corporate tribalism. Either laugh at the situation or calm down.

They've always been incredibly shameless about their """inspiration""" ( dating back to literally copying SEGA's VMU) and let their rabid fan base handle the online PR.Never owned a PSX so I'm actually tempted to get one of these.
Kind of funny they literally copied the "Classic" moniker from Nintendo.
I can't even name 20 games that would really actually qualify as classics.
HehThe more I think about it the more I kind of hope it has PSN store access for other classics.
I own like... 50? 60?
It won't.The more I think about it the more I kind of hope it has PSN store access for other classics.

LMAO they just couldn't help themselves.
Most PS1 games did not age well gameplay wise so I don't think this is going to be as big as the other "classic" consoles they're copying.
They're not going to release a revision of this next year with Dualshocks. Come on guys. They're going to move on to PS2 Classic.
This would be an amazing way to get Silent Hill. The recent collection was an abomination by all reports.
Nintendo didn't even do it first, SEGA were doing miniature Mega Drives with specific built in games about 15 years ago.Who cares if this was inspired by Nintendo? Innovation isn't limited to one company. Nintendo just did it first (in an official capacity). It's a cool novelty, regardless of the company who made it.
