Again, there is NO VR only version...Only game I want is The Persistance but the non VR version they aren't offering.
Dead month.
I feel like this is exactly what they are doing. Building a free library of PSVR games for Plus owners for the inevitable new hardware. Bonus if they all run better on PS5 and VR2.Sony might start to temp me with a PSVR2, as long as original PSVR games work on it.
For those wondering, PSVR 1.0 titles will work on 2.0
Add to library = profit.
This is huge. TheNexus always coming through with the good stuffFor those wondering, PSVR 1.0 titles will work on 2.0

Why would they not be compatible? That would be a huge upset in users and cause mistrust. For example, Quest 1 games work with Quest 2. There is no reason PSVR games can't work with PSVR2 and actually have enhancements for those games.
The Persistence (PS4) is playable in both VR and Flat. So everyone can play this.
The Persistence Enhanced (PS4/PS5) is only playable in flat. Enhanced is a free upgrade for those who own the regular version.

Are they specifically blocking it? I got the non-vr version for free because I bought the vr version.
Again, there is NO VR only version...
You'll be able to play it.
Interesting, I was under the impression it had a completely different SKU released?
Looking on my PS5 there is an enhanced Eddition which lists no VR and a normal version which does. They really need to label these clearer in what is what, and what you get.
Absolutely insane if true. For those wondering, PSVR 1.0 titles will work on 2.0

Is this confirmed anywhere? Seems like this subject is always carefully skirted by Sony.
Ah nice, thanks, looking forward to it.The enhanced edition is free for owners of the standard version, at least it was, so you should be getting both of them
Yup, that's the one. Is First Class Trouble anything like this?Sounds like Velvet Sundown. Never played it, but I still remember Giant Bomb's GOTY talks and the Quick Look they recorded.

Some VR games can run higher internal resolution and/or slightly improved draw distance, but I only know of Firewall Zero Hour and Blood & Truth (that one also goes from 60fps reprojected on 120fps, to native 90fps) doing this.
Shame really. Thanks :)Some VR games can run higher internal resolution and/or slightly improved draw distance, but I only know of Firewall Zero Hour doing this.
Well, this is certainly interesting. For those wondering, PSVR 1.0 titles will work on 2.0

Maybe its like the PS5 and you can only play PSVR1 games with a DS4 or Move controllers? For real? I figured the differences in tracking techniques and controller layouts would present issues that would have to be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
I mean, you're going from these
to these
subtracting 2-3 face buttons from each controller, depending on if you count the sticks.

This is actually incorrect- the PS5 version doesn't support VR because PS5, but the version we're getting (PS4) has support for both modes of play. As far as I know there is not a separate PS4 non-VR version. What? So instead of offering the main enahcned game that has PS5 supprot with rya tracing, they offer su the VR only version that the majority on PS4 and PS5 can't play?If they gonna do this each time by segregating versions to just offer the VR versions like how they cut games that are both PS4 and PS5 to offer just the PS5 version, this won't be interesting tbh.
I would rather have 4 PS4 + PS5 games isnetad of having 6 games with 3 that I can't play and the majority can't either.

Ah yes good point, that's why I installed Dreams on my ps5 in the first place lol, derp.Add Dreams and No Man's Sky to the list. Especially Dreams. Some creators are making games that are basically PS5 games.
That was my thinking behind why PS5 would definitely play PS4 title and that was under the impression that it wouldn't be difficult. PSVR 2.0 uses a completely different tracking on the headset and controllers though, and the PSVR 1.0 audience is way smaller for it to be as big a priority. For those wondering, PSVR 1.0 titles will work on 2.0

I guess we'll see! For what it's worth I hope you get it!Regardless. I don't think they will offer a free upgrade to get the Enhanced version on PS5 (that I care the most about) since it's the PS Plus version so they will lock it. I would be really surprised if they overlook this and allow it but I don't have high hopes for it.

The simple solution would be to allow you to map buttons to the direction of the sticks, not the best solution but it would work. The different tracking techniques shouldn't matter though, SteamVR manages to translate a bunch of different headsets/controllers all with their own tracking methods so I don't see why Sony can't do something similar. For real? I figured the differences in tracking techniques and controller layouts would present issues that would have to be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

It's dead, commercially speaking. There's a demo updated with level rotation and some of the best user-created pieces available for free; it could as well don't exist. Even for sale at 10$ is unable to get into the charts.I still wish Sony would put Dreams on the service...or port it to ps5...or even to PC. Something. Anything. Game needs more attention.
