Calling Demon's Souls Remake and Shadow of the Colossus PS4 just visual upgrades, is not really representing the work put into these games.

I've already said it on a previous OT, but it won't just be a visual remake.
What I am really curious if they will use Oscar Isaac now as the face mocap of Snake going forward.

Lets see where we are at right now

ND: Are working on Factions and the possible Last of Us Remake
SSM: Are working on God of War and a unannounced game
Suckerpunch: Is working on Ghost of Tsushima director's cut
PD: Is working on GT 7
GG: Is working on Horizon: Forbidden West
Sony Bend: Is working on a New Ip
HM: No new project is known yet,but they are working on Returnal DLC
Asobi Team: Is working on something Astro bot related
Sony sand Diego: Just release MLB
Insomaic games: Is working on a MP game and how knows what else
Pixelopus: is working on a game in collaboration with Sony animation
Sony London: Working on a new project
Media Molecule : Still working on Dreams

So that's about 12 known projects Sony is working on, some not announced, but Sony said they working on 25, well 24 since Ratchet is release now.

But who is working on the MediEvil 2 remake? Fix this shit, Guerilla.

Didn't that 25 basically all fall within the Playstation Studios banner? I think the likes of Haven and Deviation games would fall under that.

I'm also assuming a decent number of that 25 are VR

More than 25.

"PlayStation Studios have more than 25 titles in development"

GG there's the Simon Larouche project, which will likely be online (or with a heavy online component).
Insomniac Spider-Man 2 is a given.

Yeah they fall into that.

A bit pedantic, but Elden Ring wasn't at E3. Which leads me to comment on Sony...Imo, this is an example of why Sony is waiting good time before doing their definitely not E3 summer show. They don't want to be associated with E3 at all, which they absolutely would be if they'd have done a show a week ago or so. Everyone would be considering it "Sony's E3 and referring to it as such". That's my guess anyway. I do think their show will be fairly soon though, otherwise they might as well wait and "headline" Gamescom.

Good point! I know Summer Games Fest was outside of E3 but it was just so close I lumped it together.

Sony made the right call I think, while it would be nice to know when Sony are doing their showcase they aren't having to rush announcements of their new games and can prepare them to be shown on their best terms. The last thing you need is for a game to end up having a bad reception.

I dunno. TLOU's multiplayer was way, way, WAY too quick to kill. You wouldn't have as much "fighting" as just...people getting headshot and killed instantly. Unless they completely overhaul that I don't know you'd get the kind of experience you'd hope for.

I could see them reworking the TTK. It's kind of one of those things that always changes game to game since finding a balance between too fast to kill and bullet sponge is really difficult.

I didn't realize this is a new thing now. Hmmm yeah I guess TLOU2 is next. Now I wonder if that does mean HZD as well.

I just don't see it happening with Part II since they've been adamant that they aren't doing DLC anymore. Even The Lost Legacy is a weird spot since it grew much bigger than they'd originally intended. And these DC's so far all included expanded single player content. I don't know if it'd make sense for them to include Factions and then call it a Director's Cut.

This is true but they can do a Factions packed in with it right?

Ha ha. I also looked at this and was like manga ND has been doing Uncharted and TLOU for a long time huh?

Someone who is ignorant of ND's history would likely be shocked to learn that long ago they did cartoony games too.

The picture would look kinda the same..

Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot 2
Crash Bandicoot: Warped
Crash Team Racing
Jak and Daxter
Jak II
Jak 3
Jak X: Combat Racing

Surely the secret game is
Uncharted X TLOU Go-Kart madness

EDIT:
I'm not an insider, this is just an guess

Last of us is just too miserable for me, they can make really colourful worlds full of life and i'm hoping for something like that again.

They will never go back to platform games. But yeah...doing something different would be great.
It's wild to think Naughty Dog started their collaboration with Sony with Crash Bandicoot and their latest game is...The Last of Us 2.
They couldn't be much more different lmao.

I want to see Naughty Dog do a more Princess Mononoke style setting, with fantastical creatures contrasted with urban areas. It can have that mix of high and dark fantasy, so different tones can work well.

Plus, it had a nice little reference in TLOU2.

Yeah. Honestly it was one of my least favorite parts of the original Factions. I would usually die very quickly and spend the rest of the match wondering why I even started playing at all.

I'm trying to remember which Uncharted multiplayer was best. Was it UC3's multiplayer before they patched it?

It wouldn't have to be a platformer, they have such a good eye for detail, after Rift apart i'm just imagining scenes like the market place in UC4 but using the PS5.

Uncharted was fun in a Indiana Jones kinda way. Which makes me prefer it then TLOU.

Sure TLOU is the better games but it is too much for me, especially TLOU2. Sometimes I just want a more laid back franchise that isn't so depressing. It is like liking Star Wars as a franchise even though there is really indepth, complex scifi movies out there.

But if people enjoy that more and want more of that stuff like TLOU3 or something then said games should continue to be made for said audience. I would just have to take breaks inbetween playing them. Which is why I am happy SIE has other franchises in the meantime.

Maybe some kind of ewoks that start burning and crying...

Nah, if the space thing is real, what i don't believe, i hope they go the "funny" Uncharted route.

Last of Us 3. Ellie in space, alone with a dog. Humanity is dead, Ellie is the last survivor, having escaped to a distant planet. Ellie looks at a distant point of light far away in the distant vastness of space, the blue ball that once was Earth. She looks at the dog, and says 'You know, Joel, I really am the last of us'. They both walk into the distance, disappearing into the horizon. Roll credits.

10/10 and 3000 GOTY awards.

I admire the last of us games, i can watch playthroughs etc, but i just can't stand to be in the world as a player. i don't have a problem with it beyond being a bit sad that i'm missing out one of the best devs on playstation.

lol...
i love the idea of a dog that is named joel..

I also liked TLOU, both games, and damn... TLOU2 combat was pretty extreme and highly detailed.
I actually would say the best combat ever seen, based on reactions and animations.

But besides TLOU 3, i want to see again some funny stuff from ND.

Yeah you can pretty much admire ND as a developer, their ambition and growth but as a long term fan since the Crash days I will root for them while moving on to support other studios that suit my tastes more.

I mean I can play their games still and enjoy them but I can't bunker down on ND as a primary studio for me since their games are too dark for me now.

Played the first TLoU and didn't like it at all besides the graphics tbh. Stealth games just aren't my thing (besides MGS, but I just played those on easy so I could play them like any third person shooter). They're obviously well made games with insane polish, just... not my kind of thing. Uncharted with its light Indiana Jones x Tomb Raider romp is more my thing.

Basically, yeah. If they don't back off on the ultraviolence/misery porn a bit wth their next game, I'll basically just completely ignore their existence moving forward. I love Uncharted but the whole TLOU setting is just too negative for me.

Can you remind me what's this reference you're talking about? I think I've already saw it but I can't remember it right now 😅

Btw I agree with you

That is completely true, TLOU are stealth games.
Maybe that is why i love them, and not because of the dark story.

But because of the dark story, i want to see now a new Indiana Jones style game, i also totally like those.
