Congrats - I thought I must have hatched a lot of them as it seems very common with the current 2k eggs but I've only seen 16 according to the Pokedex.
I have also checked and I'm on 47 Shinx without a shiny - however the gym outside my office has a Shinx raid on it now so I'll see if 48 is the lucky number for me.

I've yet to find that quest at all. Apparently the day I could actually get out and do things was the day they decided it was too easy and made the quest extremely rare to the point that the nearest one reported to me today is a nearly two hour drive away.
It's kind of funny how I found the quest.
Someone on my local Discord was talking about how someone in the neighborhood was attacking gyms but not putting pokemon in them. I jokingly said it's probably because there's a Lapras quest nearby and they're all just doing it. So he spent like an hour spinning pokestops until he found it. Was shiny for me but unfortunately not for him which I feel bad about since he did the work to find the quest.
Between the egg event and Shuckle weekend, I ended up with a shiny Wynaut, shiny Shuckle and my first Bonsly (and a second and third almost straight after), so that was cool. I missed out on a shiny Buneary even though I must've checked a few hundred of the stupid bunnies but oh well.
on the plus side I just hatched a Riolu from an event egg, and I previously got Bonsly, Budew, and Happiny.

Love Buneary/Lopunny and was surprised it got a Mega evolution (i havent touched pokemon much since 4th gen) which is pretty cool

Any time something rare pops up I will shiny check for his account and it was luckily a shiny for him.
I did get like a 6th shiny Scyther though. I guess I can certainly believe they boosted the rate on it while still allowing it to nest which is weird.

Uh... How exactly are you going to do the trade? lol. Unless your a spoofer, people likely live a long way away from you :P
In other news, research being Lugia & Ho-Oh and the Eon twins is kinda nice, though I never got Suicune or Regice. I do get my last research on the 30th, should I claim it then or just let it roll over to the 1st before doing so?
Really weird announcement for the eggs. There are only two changes within the revealed lineup.
If you don't have something from the current pool, you might as well try, right? Or be content to wait until Suicune and Regice return to regular raids for shiny chances / signature moves. That assumes you're able to participate in Tier 5 raids, too.
It's against the TOS and can get your account perma-banned. Not to mention, it's hella lame.

Yeah...I know some people in my city that spoof and offer me regionals and stuff.
I'm just like...if I wanted spoofed regionals, I'd do it myself.
