I haven't caught a single Pokemon since the 25th September, complete eradication of Pokemon from my entire area. Pretty hacked off that after years of playing Niantic have reduced it to nothing more than a colourful map.

Lol, I just saw I don't even have the Dragon gold medal yet. I'm at 46 caught. I got gold for all the other types.

That's honestly the first time I've seen this. When exactly did they do it?
Admittedly, it's been a little while since they last screwed up the raid bosses. But, usually occurs almost like clock work when introducing a new month raid rotation (not during an event, events they tend to do right more often). So it's happened a few times earlier this year and a bunch last year too. Usually they add X T5 pokemon like they should (usually), but the T1-4 will sometimes be completely different set, usually some other set for a different T5.

They've done this Research Breakthrough as well, when a new breakthrough suppose to be implemented, sometimes it screws up and defaults back to Moltres of all things. Which is why I always tell people to not claim their research breakthrough until after 1pm Niantic time and as well as confirm with the silph road that it's correct. heh

I remember last year they messed up an entire set or raid bosses. It was supposed to be grass themed or something and they went with a rock theme instead. All of the raid bosses except a couple for changed. I remember this specifically because I needed Aerodactyl to complete my Kanto dex and he was gone almost instantly.

The whole reason why Klink and Shinx are available is literally because people complained on the internet. Look at the T1 boss pool, it's huge, that wasn't planned.

The new version that just got released to iOS didn't add anything significant, so I imagine they can flip the switch any day now.
Yeah they just posted another rocket tweet lol so you're right about that.

Exciting! New stuff to do.

Do Rocket pokestops have a curfew now? Or will I be able to do some of them after I finish work tonight at 8pm? Seems like the Rocket Radar definitely has a curfew, but what about normal invasions?

Is there a good resource online to find the best counter teams for Rocket battles?

Looks like Cliff's team is Meowth, Snorlax, Tyranitar. Is Machamp really good against Tyranitar in PVE? I'm thinking Meteor Mash Metagross x2, and Machamp might be a good team versus him?

If you are level 40, it's generally better to use high defense pokemon rather than type effective attack pokemon with low defense. Your Machamp will probably die to the Snorlax before it even reaches the Tyranitar. Metagross with Meteor Mash is super useful, but against Tyranitar it might not be a good idea because it could know dark attacks.

Yeah, but it seems like Machamp should be good against Tyranitar in PVE right? It's strong against rock and dark moves, and has double effective attacks. Or is it's defense too low? And Metagross works well against Snorlax usually.

So weird to arbitrarily release the feature to some unknown segment of players. Anyway, seems like it'll be an interesting additional thing that you can work on and repeat over time.

This Rocket leader build up honestly is so shit, shouldn't be so hard to hire some random C graded marketing student to do a better job. The walls of text in Willow's reports got boring by the second or third entry and releasing the feature to "few parts of the world" without specifying is just frustrating for everyone that didn't get it.

Obviously rolling it out. They do this all the time for new features. Usually starting with lv 40 and working itself down, this time it's different. In another day or so, should be everywhere.

Hope there's some substance to it 'cause the game feels really flat rn. I think we were spoiled by Halloween, spawns now are not even worth walking about for and the t5 isn't worth much either.

Playing for a weekly roll at birbs

This new rocket stuff is so bad, you have to do 6 rocket grunt battles, this will eat several max revives and max potions then you get to do a rocket admin/leader battle and you can get a shiny shadow pokemon as a reward which is fine, Unova stone as a reward is nice, Sinnoh Stone as a reward is oke but you know what I got? 1 Hyper Potion and 1 Max Revive......I used like 6~ max revives and 6~ max potions to even get there.

I'm happy that there's some downtime. It's cold here and I can play Death Stranding and not feel like I'm missing out on much in PoGo. lol

You don't need to fight 6 snorlax battles to get all the parts. Find a "normal" grunt and take out the rats!

I fought a psychic grunt after work today and my Bite/Crunch Tyranitar took him out with more than half health left.

For revives and potions keep spinning gyms and opening gifts everyday. Or do T5 raids if you can.

Well, the difference is that "only for Level 40 right now" is pretty straightforward while this approach is pretty bad. You have to manually check if you're in because nobody has an idea who/what/where qualifies. And that can be annoying if you don't live in a big city with plenty of stops in your front yard. It's also incredibly easy to communicate in a story line way, e.g.: "we've received reports that Rocket leaders have attacked [strong] trainers in London".

omg, this isn't a big deal. Stop trying to make it a big deal, barely even been 24 hours since released. It's going to be released globally soon. They literally did this for the original Team Rocket rollout. And that was made global very fast.

Of course this will become global soon.

Heck, they literally did this for the Pokestop nearby system too.

Wayfarer being introduced to all Pokemon Go players lv 40 next week apparently (probably stay at lv 40 for now, maybe it will go down, but maybe not)!

This will help push along reviews

Okay, man, got it. I'll stick to crying about not getting shinies instead. Or the limited chance to get a shiny. Because that seems to be alright in here.

I wish people would stop bitching about not getting shinies too (except for catches like Feebas Task day or when EUAsia gets screwed over too). What's worse is when someone complains about getting a low IV shiny. Nuts! lol

There is a reason why the OT title has "Y U NO SHINY?", it's making fun of the people here and elsewhere that go way over the board. lol

All I'm trying to say, is that give it a few days. This is a permanent feature. There is no reason to rush. Hell, I live in Metro Atlanta, of all places, so if I wanted I could attempt to drive 20 min into the city to get it, but I'm good. I'll wait till it's elsewhere. There are plenty of things to complain about their programming/managing skills (That "your regional" egg event from 2 months back for example) that we don't need to add extra shit for the sake of it.
