It would be a great addition if the base game doesn't feel lacking compared to other entries but it is. This is the future going forward I guess, the only thing they could add is actually add mtx for that cosmetics lolSince when do we get huge new maps and new trainers as a post game? Other then Gold and Silver of course
They will probably be transferable through Home as well.So they are selling us content specific $30 DLC that will contain Pokemon you can't find anywhere else unless you trade with someone? Am I reading that right?
Not really. It will be easy to get whatever you want. But they got rid of that passive online trading thing, didn't they? So it's harder and less convenient now.
Perhaps a silly question, but is each DLC tied to one specific version of the game? It would seem a dumb decision, but you can never be sure.
No.There's specific stuff for each version but you get both parts.Perhaps a silly question, but is each DLC tied to one specific version of the game? It would seem a dumb decision, but you can never be sure.
That's freaking genius!
Instead of buying a single 3rd version, I'll have to buy the expansion for both Sword and Shield for 60€
you will be able to get the Pokemon for free if you aren't interested in the new content. So they are selling us content specific $30 DLC that will contain Pokemon you can't find anywhere else unless you trade with someone? Am I reading that right?
You don't have to buy the DLC to use the old Pokemon. You know I din't believe it when people said they'd make you pay for old pokemon but here we are.
Wasn't online trading made worse in this game too? Don't wanna make it easy I guess.
no.So wait, is each DLC exclusive to each different version? Meaning if I got Shield, I don't get an expansion until fall?
"We currently don't have plans to make the Pokémon that are missing from the Galar Pokédex available in the game," Masuda said. "This is an approach that we want to continue with in future Pokémon games. Up until now it hasn't been possible to encounter every Pokemon in every game, so people had to transfer them from old games to the new game, by using Pokémon Bank as an example."
This is much better than a third version. The two expansions seemed cool and I thought they could cost until 40€, so 30€ is fine is they are really packed with contents.
In my opinion, they had to cut some contents to release Sword and Shield in November, but they can exploit this opportunity to keep the players (and me) interested in playing the game again.
I liked this Direct, very much at the moment.
$60 bucks and you have to wait almost a full year to get what should've been in the main games.
Its beyond obvious they rushed sword and shield.
Honestly. You're not wrong.I can't knock GF's hustle. Pokemon fans deserve to get ripped off lol.

Yep. And people applaud it. This stuff should have been in the main game, which was already empty, or should have been post-game content.
This is what the older games were like.
Now they're selling it as expansion passes.
