Gen 5 for me. Even put my starter in the PC. That's how much I didn't care for them.
Gen 2 almost as well. But I grew to like them as time went by.

You know what? Fuck these starters. I'm not playing through the game with one of those abominations. I plan to play my game with a Krabby as my starter and main Pokemon during my playthrough. It doesn't matter what stage of the game I get it in, I will retrain that thing and get it to be one of the strongest goddamn Krabbys that ever lived. My entire game will be based around that thing. That goddamned crab. It's just a fucking crab. HELL YEAH!!!!

The fact that they're all monotype makes it feel like they tried to make these starters as boring as possible.

Aww Lapras Is a bit underwhelming, but the base design was already perfect so I can't be too mad they didn't stray too far
Yeah? I'm saying i think it's interesting that the move effect lasts longer than the dynam/giganto-max form does. Makes it extra powerful
Bet we see Blastoise and Venasaur gigas instead of for the actual starters
