Not sure how having seperate software on a seperate device is more convenient than just being able to do it from the game. At least have the option for both.

GTS refers to the system where you place a 'mon, ask for a 'mon and just wait to see if someone wants that trade. It was first introduced in gen 4

I think they are talking about when you put a Pokemon and can look at other pokemon listings to trade.
You can pass down TMs by breeding, I assume he's testing if this is true for TRs.
Leaker will try to breed gigantamax charmander and I think he used some TR (dazzling gleam, ice beam, dragon dance, scald, close combat)

If the GTS is gone, honestly I won't miss it. Like, at all. Four generations of looking for common version exclusives and seeing folks requesting level 1 mythicals for them got old. I feel like I have a better chance of getting what I want through Surprise Trade.
The secret to the GTS was always that you put up your own mon, like a version exclusive, and wait for someone to take you up on it.
God the scaling in this game is so bad. The camping picture made me wince too.
Between this and no Following Pokemon, Game Freak has very different ideas of how one's partner Pokemon should be made to feel like an integrated part of the world :\
I'll miss it a lot. Used to be so easy, just dump a version exclusive and ask for the other exclusive and wait. If GTS is gone it'll be more annoying to complete the dex.

No GTS will be another thing on the constantly growing shitpile surrounding decisions with the game sadly.
Why are people assuming there's no GTS? I'm no staunch defender of this game, but this seems overly doom and gloom. The leaker CAN'T use the internet functions, so he has not shown the GTS, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.
But a lot of times some people would put legendaries up for nothing or send me a legendary for something non-legendary. It was fun to exploit. I was more surprised I got Cosmoem in a trade than anything.

I mean I guess they figured since there is 500+ Pokemon missing from the code that there doesn't need to be a global trading system anymore since every Pokemon in the game can be caught in the game.

Rationalizing about what? Everyone is just making assumptions based on a leaker who can't go online without getting banned and TPC not explicitly marketing the GTS.
