Mythicals are interesting. People have wanted them added through patches to keep the surprise factor but I'm guessing TPC would prefer that players have the mythical ready to unlock without a download, so that any person can stroll into a store and claim one.
Also, the total number of mythicals may give us an idea of how much of the future is mapped out, and how long TPC expects us to keep playing just SwSh.

Well at the very least, we still haven't gotten a datamine, so there could be plenty of hiding details, such as mythical Pokemon, movepools, etc.
Yeah I'm still excited to see the rest of the new moves, hidden abilities, updated stats and movepools for old Pokemon, and all that. I hope that a smaller roster means more of the old Pokemon will receive updates. Really surprised the datamine hasn't happened yet.

Some of the new TRs alone seem crazy enough additions, getting the full list and what learns them will be huge.
Imagine if Hydreigon, Gengar, Aegislash, Reuniclus, Clefable, Chandelure learn Nasty Plot! Maybe even Eevee will learn it, a lot of its evolutions are special attackers.
edit: Also just thought about Swoobat. Simple makes Nasty Plot a +4 boost, and it has Stored Power. Could be fun!

So, what's this I've been reading about GTS? Is it really not in the game or did the leaker just not see it?
Leaker can't find it, but it may be hidden because you have to connect to the internet to see it. We don't know yet.
I think it's more likely that we will see a backtracking of stance on DLC / expansions than SwSh not getting updated. Besides, if this is all about TPC product management, budget, and lack of incentives, then that falls perfectly in alignment with that.
Then again maybe the ultimate DLC revenue is just making another game.

There is no fucking way the GTS is gone. In this current age, it would basically kill the game outside Japan.
Like I'm pretty down on Pokémon Sword and Shield and I still am not cynical enough to believe that Gamefreak would take out the GTS.
I really like a lot of the new designs. The elephant, the fire bug, the corgi... Sun and Moon didn't have a lot of designs that I wanted on my team Honestly I'm just waiting to see some raw footage now so I can gauge how fast the battles are. It's really a big aspect of buying for me, grinding/training/catching in S/M was so tedious because it was like watching a slideshow at times.
One thing I can't say I mind much is the lack of National Dex... you grow up playing Ruby and Sapphire, you already had many Pokemon made totally inaccessible unless you were willing to buy a Gamecube, link cable, and suffer through Pokemon Colosseum.

The leaker says he won't open up the online modes as he doesn't want to connect to the internet and get found by Nintendo. So he said don't take the fact he hasn't seen it as any thing definitive.
