We know there's an option to manually save so very likely it's auto-save can be disabled.mmm....not a good thing to me. imagine if game saves after every battle with legendaries. basically if you get a bad one, you are f*cked.
I feel like plenty of games have manual saves and mandatory auto saves though so i'm Not sure this means muchWe know there's an option to manually save so very likely it's auto-save can be disabled.
Not really it's not like autosaves are going to overwrite your own saves you will just load your manual saves like always. This is terrible for IVs, EVs, shinies, etc. Let's wait though.

Is this even a thing anymore? From my experience, legendaries nowadays just reappear at some point if you accidentally knock them out. This is what I fear.
Accidentally faint a legendary and the game auto saves.

Sounds cool. Most games have the auto-save and the manual save as different slots, so I don't see any problem with this if that's what they do.
Nah you have to be in the changing room for that and the character is in the middle of the storeWait. Couldn't it just be saving the change of clothing. Like it saves after every change of appearance?
That might be it, be a bit weird though since the past games didn't do that.Wait. Couldn't it just be saving the change of clothing. Like it saves after every change of appearance?
No because the screenshot is from entering the shop.Wait. Couldn't it just be saving the change of clothing. Like it saves after every change of appearance?
Then it probably won't have auto saves, literally no game ever would overwrite players' manual saves for auto saves, that's not how auto saves work.
But that's being logical, and it is much easier to freak out and assume the worst. Then it probably won't have auto saves, literally no game ever would overwrite players' manual saves for auto saves, that's not how auto saves work.

You also wouldn't think a game would lock difficulty options based on which version you buy but Game Freak did that, huh? Then it probably won't have auto saves, literally no game ever would overwrite players' manual saves for auto saves, that's not how auto saves work.
I can't think of a single game that has auto-saves overwrite manual saves.
Dont forget the fact that you needed to go through the entire game first to even have the ability to transfer the key overYou also wouldn't think a game would lock difficulty options based on which version you buy but Game Freak did that, huh?

Why would they remove soft reset?Yeah, I can't see this going well. Given Pokemon's aversion to having more than one save file per person, the autosave will most likely overwrite your regular save, and so if you fuck anything up you risk having it be permanently saved. I can see them removing the soft reset function too just to top things off (FE3H implemented it perfectly, but I don't trust GF to do so)
Did they?i honestly don't know since all the games i've played didn't have dificulty options, still tho that's fundamentally different compared to outright messing with people's manually saved data, and it's not like they need to include auto saves so they'll probably do what literally any game does and have manual saves separated from auto saves which would be read only. You also wouldn't think a game would lock difficulty options based on which version you buy but Game Freak did that, huh?
