The Ueno Atelier is the newest Gran Turimso studio in Japan. This location was chosen because of its proximity to the Tokyo University of the Arts, where many of its students join the team on a part-time basis to receive valuable experience in their quests to become professional 3DCG artists.

Through an in-house chat and video conferencing system, the staff members at the Ueno Atelier communicate regularly with other Gran Turismo offices around the world, including the Tokyo Studio and the Fukuoka Atelier in Japan, as well as GT Explore's Studios in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and Los Angeles (the U.S.).

Interesting, did not know that Polyphony has 4 (now 5) studios.

But BTW, seems like they'll continue to support GT Sport in 2019

GT Sport will be supported forever because the PS5 exclusive game will be Gran Turismo Horizon.

I don't think this means they'll be working on multiple games, but it's more of a support studio right? Especially because they say they hope to have a lot of newly graduate part time employees looking for experience, what with the location and all.
