There's no day like new pickup day.
"Japan - Black"
Yoshitaka Amano
1994
Image size: 64 x 32 inches
Edition of 60
Giclée with hand embellishments
This piece is absolutely wild. It feels like you can fall right into the sky. The mount reminds me of the black panther that Amano occasionally draws. I love when Amano leans into the industrial/mecha vibe.
That looks amazing. I can't even find much info on it aside from some book scans. The first image you posted even looks like a book spread with the folds in place.

Another Ansin. Good to see he's still around. Poster looks dope, but it's Halloween...again.
I wish you didn't remind me lol. His posters for animated movies kick ass.And it's only June!
I just want to see the Bebop we're probably never getting from him so I can know how sad to be about it.

It's weird. Think the standard one looks better and the additional colors make it more complete but there is something about the variant that stands out.
Gave in and bought a D*Face Hollywood Boom print for a pretty hefty markup on the secondary market. Was long after the print as I like movies very much too.
What do you think is an appropriate percentage, do you have a "markup limit"?
