So it's not the worst image, but it's entirely uninspired; the artist clearly didn't give a shit about the movie and commission group; and it's just a blue mess. Brick is such a great movie, and I was super excited about the commission, but it pretty quickly went to shit.

He's selling the original painting for only $3450, if anybody wants to buy it!

I'm not sure how communication between the commissioner and Wilson went--I suspect the commissioner was a complete pushover and just excited to 'commission' something, but it's clear Wilson will just take money, and not give a shit about the output. Because, uh, Matt Taylor already used the tunnel imagery for a brilliant Brick print, so you'd probably want to approach the image from a different angle.

Super excited for that Greg Ruth show- wonder how much will be new and how much will be from the White Lodge stuff he was doing (which I loved- just wasn't going to pay $900 for an original back then). Getting some of those as prints will be really exciting.

That's pretty cool. I don't love the art itself on this one, but I just read that series last year and really enjoyed it. I'd love to see more book-based prints, generally

The print matches pretty much how I envisioned things in my head. The Red Sox cap should be in there though!
